I'm going to be utterly honest, I don't know much about politics. I know two for sure things about this years Presidential Candidates: I loathe Donald J. Trump and I support Bernie Sanders. Now give me a moment to explain before you draw any conclusions, I don't know anything about politics. I do understand the basics of people and that is why I'm a hundred and ten percent not approving of Donald Trump being taken seriously as the Republican nominee and I understand that Bernie Sanders makes sense to common middle class Americans. Which is solely why I like him.
My entire life I've been told that my generation was the one that had to save us all. That we needed more children to pursue jobs in the Sciences and Maths or that we needed to save our Earth since our past generations fucked it up so tremendously for us. However I've also been told that my generation is lazy, and that we want to be spoon fed everything in life and I'm honestly sick of it. I've been put under so much goddamned pressure to ensure that my possible future children will maybe have a stable and safe future when I'm honestly not positive they would. I'm constantly afraid of war and destruction of our planet. I'm afraid once I reach the not so old age of fifty and have kids of my own that they won't be able to be successful. The one honest to god thing that scares me the most isn't the pressure though, I can handle that pressure just like the generations before me did. The one thing that scares me is not being able to get the education to help. I'm afraid that once I graduate high school that I will immediately sign myself up for debt, for the rest of my fucking life.
I've always been told that college was expensive, it was a simple fact. That's why in seventh grade when I was approached by a scholarship program I felt like maybe, just maybe I had a chance at a proper education out of high school. After being in it for two years though, my concern has only grown stronger. While it is true there are very good scholarships out there I'm advanced at two subjects which are typical for the North American female student, English and Social Studies. Therefor when you look through scholarships offered to students, they're for students that excel in the Maths and Sciences, not an average Anne such as myself. So when I hear that Bernie Sanders wants to relieve college debt, it is the biggest relief I could ever possibly hear. Maybe, just maybe, I have a fighting chance at being able to ensure a good future for myself and my future family, and that's all I could ever want.
When I say I don't know much about politics I am being honest, I god honest don't. So while I don't know the exact specifics as to where Bernie Sanders wants to get money for this idea, I do know that if it's possible that it needs to be done. If our country, our world, says that we need this generation to save our planet and us as humans than the future generations before us better start pulling their fucking end. You simply cannot dump that much responsibility on children, give them no answers, and then get shitty when it isn't working. If you want to save us, fucking help us; and that is why I support Bernie Sanders.
