"Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on"
----------
{Cole}
It has been three weeks since she's been out of my life, but she'll forever be in my heart.
"Oh Cole" My mom walks in my room and sits on my bed "you have to leave your room sometime"
I turn my body so that my face is in my pillows.
"You missed her funeral, Cole" she says quietly
"I know"
"It was a lovely ceremony, a lot of people were there" she explains
"I bet"
"Michael gave a very touching speech"
"Mom please...I just want to be alone" I tell her close to tears.
I didn't go to Luna's funeral because I didn't want to say goodbye, I didn't want to see her in a coffin, and I didn't want to see her pale and lifeless the last time I saw her face to face. My parents understood that.
My mom walks to the door and before she walks out she stops "Cole, your father and I feel that it would be best for you if we move. Staying in Pennsylvania will only remind you of her and it will ruin you" I sit up and look at my mom "We are moving to California as soon as you finish freshman year"
