Chapter 9

Dette's pov

I went home and showered. Getting ready for a date is not an everyday routine i tell you. I've only had one person who asked me out and that was Aiden. So i showered and i think i like spent my 40 minutes in the shower and when i got out in my bath robe, i went in my closet to find an outfit that would suit best. Fair right? We're going to the fair?

I picked out a white crop top that said "Perfectly imperfect" and black high waisted jeans and a black leather jacket with my combat boots, my favourite boots. I wore it and i decided i would make my hair wavy. I should dye it red. I like red. Maybe later.

So i put on some mascara and some pink lip gloss ,huh, a simple look. Its 5:40 so i think i still have 20 minutes. I still have time to be nervous about it. When the time is almost near, i started feeling nervous, seriously. I picked up my phone and took the case out and put my money inside it's case and put my phone back. Thats a lot of putting. i still have like 16 minutes so i went to my parents house. I entered and saw them all loved up in the couch, watching ' The Notebook' oh how i love those guys.

"hey mom, dad!" I said flopping to the recliner beside the coffee table. They looked at me in surprise and my mom screamed.

"you scared me you little rascal!"she said slowly, i chuckled and my dad laughed. My mom suddenly had a confused face and eyed me up amd down.

"where you heading to miss?" My mom asked smirking, knowing the answer. I blushed and looked down. My hand fiddling in my lap.

"on a date?"at that answer my dad straightened up in his seat and furrowed his eyebrows at me.

"do i need to get my shotgun? Its on the basement" my dad said threatiningly, i laughed because i know its an empty threat.

"Oh dad" we all laughed and my statement was confirmed when we laughed. I heard a honk outside and i know its him.

I got up from my seat and hugged my mom and dad goodbye.

Well this is it.

I got out and saw the black lambo huracan waiting for me. I noticed Edward went out and handed me a rose.

"For m' lady" i took the rose but i didnt smell it like in those other cliché movies.

"Why thank you, kind sir" i giggled at my answer and he smiled cheekily at me. I checked him out and saw him wearing a black skinny jeans and red button up shirt with white high tops and snapback.

"Like what you see?" He flipped his hair and winked at me.

" nope, definitely not. I was just checking if you look decent enough to be my date and based on what I'm seeing, you're okay" i said teasingly and he scoffed.

"Well if it makes you feel much better about yourself, you look good" he said his tone coming down from joking ti serious.

"thank you again" i said giggling.

"Shall we?"he put his arm out for me to take and i did with a confuse look on my face.

"Aren't we talking your car?" I asked him, he shook his head.

"Nope, i figured it would be more romantic if we walked, besides the fair is just a few blockes away. Do you mind if I leave my car here?" He ask a little hesitant as if I'll say no to this beauty.... i meann the car... the beauty is the car... uhh yeah.

"Yeah sure it's fine, i don't have any car anyway" we started walking to the distance i pull my arms away because i fugured i wouldn't want to be holding onto him while we're walking through a 20 minutes walk, it would trigger my feelings more.

"why dont you have a car?" He asked putting his hands in his pocket to conceal the awkwardness i made from pulling my arm away.

"I don't want to yet, im too scared, besides i still have my penny board, its a pretty good ride" i said laughing softly.

"Yeah penny boards are cool" he said nodding his head. I faced him.

" you have one?" I ask suddenly inyerested. He smiled and nodded.

"I had it last year, it was actually the first kind of transportation i had before my car, i had my car 6 months ago before we moved here. My mom thought it would be great to have another transportation while we're about to move so she can put extra things in there like suitcases and stuff." He explained and i nodded.

"It seems pretty awesome to have a car. You can go wherever you want and you can go on a road trip with your friends" i said and he nodded and chuckled.

"yeah its pretty cool, but the only downside to it is you really have to be responsible, well for me i have to because i love to drive that baby around so much" and with what he said I found myself saying something i shouldn't have.

"I thought i was your baby" i said and right at that moment i wished i could just run away and locked myself in my room and never go out again. Im so embarassed. He looked at me amused and he chuckled. Great, now he's laughing at me.

"you're my number one baby of course, babe" he said winking and i blushed and ducked my head down. I looked around trying to avoid his stare. When i look ahead, i was pumped to saw that we're almost there.

"We're here! We're here! Look! I can see the ferris wheel! Look Edward!" I jumped up and down while slapping his arms repeatedly. He chuckled at me and put his arm around my waist to settle me down. I was pretty excited to even give a subtle reaction to the touch.

" i know babe calm down" he said still staring at me amusedly. I've never been in a fair for so long, im so excited.
