Dear Robot Diary,

We have been stuck in here all night. I mean it's kinda amazing to spend the whole night with Crush even though I haven't said a word to him. I have been trying to prevent Banana from attacking Harry. Harry comments last night were something I will not repeat because they were so disgusting. After preventing a massacre because freak week decide to make the first day of it for people to have crazy emotion. During this Marmie started to cry.

"Marmie, are you okay?" I asked unsure if I want the answer.

"Yeah, it's freak week making me emotional and those cute puppies." Explains Marmie.

At least when she was crying helped me hold back Banana while Crush stood in front of Harry trying to talk some logic it to that empty headed jock. The whole event made everyone tired and we slept on the floor while Mr. Kevin went back to his classroom. He was probably worried about the divorce, poor guy.

Today, when I woke up I found Crush already awake while the others were asleep. He looked at me and I knew what he was thinking. We headed upstairs to go see if there was some left over food in the lunchroom. He walked in front of me and it felt as if I was walking on air.

Crush is a beautiful specimen, which is kinda weird way to describe a guy. He is mutant but at first glance seem normal with his beautifully dirty blonde hair cut in to a nice quif like any hipster prince. His eyes were two different colors depend on his mood change colors. At the moment, one was a stormy gray while the other was a calm summer night blue. His skin was light tan and he was not muscular but very toned. His face perfectly symmetrical and that was not the best part. He has wings like an angel but I have only seen them once. He doesn't show them to just anyone because his beautifully brown wings are a secret that he hides under his tan leather jacket.

I can still picture the day, he showed them to me. We were very young at the time. He and I were at the phase in life where we loved playing outside. My mom and his mother were friends so I used to always be at his house. While they talked about woman stuff and we ran around the yard. Life was easier thn. Sorry, I got side tracked.

One day, we were just playing in the grass by throwing it at each other. He lay down on his back and I followed by example. It was quiet for a minutes but one of those comfortable silents. I was about to say something about the sky and the clouds being shaped like baby dragons.

"Um, Lacey?" He asked with sounding uncertain as he stared at the sky.

"Yes, Crush. What's wrong?" I turned over to face him.

"Nothing is wrong. Can you promise me to keep a secret?" He turned to face me.

"Yeah, you can trust me. We are best friends aren't we?"

He got up and took my hand. He led me to his backyard under a shady maple tree. I watched as he took off his Ninja Turtle sweatshirt. At first I didn't understand what was his secret. Then, beautiful wings grew to his side. I stared at them and he looked at the ground.

"Now, you know I'm a freak. Please don't hate me."

"Why would I hate you? You are an amazing like a flying wiggles if that is possible. Your wings are really beautiful and look nice on you." I say taking his hand in mine.

"Thank you, I'm a glad I shared this with you." He says dropped our hands as he tries about put on the sweatshirt.

"May I touch them? Also do your parents have wings?"

"Yeah, you can touch them and my parents have wings too. We just hide them to fit in."

I slowly move my hand towards them and I place it gently on them. They feel soft under my fingers and he paces his hand on my mine. I take my hand away and his hand is still on mine.

My cheeks started to burn and probably making my face look like a giant strawberry. I pulled out my phone and my face is still red. Thanks a lot Freak Week. I looked up just as I walk straight into Crush. Really just my luck but at least I know it can get worse.

"I am so sorry I didn't mean to. Um... I just was in deep thought and didn't see you stopped. It's not like your invisible since clearly you're not. Um.. I think I'm going to stop talking right now." I looked at my shoes.

"It's fine. Freak week gets to all of us. Just next time beware of your surroundings, Lacey." He started to walk into the lunch room.

"Umm.. I will. Wait a second you called me Lacey. I haven't heard that name in years." I followed him and he was sitting on a circle lunch table.

"Yeah, it's bit since we talked one on one."

"It's been years. Can I ask you a question?" I sat next to him.

"Sure, Lacey. Lay it on me." He lends in closer to me.

"Um..well... I have been wondering. Why did you ask me to keep your secret?"

"Oh, you're talking about them. *pointing to his back* Well, I knew deep down you would never tell anyone and I could trust you. You were my best friend and I need someone to share it with. I knew there was only one person in the whole world I would share this with and that happen to be you." His cheeks get red but faded back to there normal color quickly.

"Oh, thank you for trusting me with your secret."

"No, thank you for helping me feel normal all those years ago. "

"I think we should get back to the others before Banana and Harry attack each other." I climbed off the table as Crush does the same.

We ended up finding cereal and the frozen pancakes to have for breakfast. After the pancakes finished heating up, we headed back to the basement. Harry was playing walk ball with his red STX stick for offense players.  Marmie and Banana were talking among themselves. They looked over saw the food and ran towards us. We had as normal as freak week can get breakfast.

All the sudden, there was a complete uder silent in the room after breakfast. Then, I realize Harry's lips were moving but nothing was coming out. Harry started to panic and pace till he stopped looked over to his lacrosse stick. He picked it up and began to play wall ball again. Marmie and Banana quickly came up with idea of charades. Marmie and Banana are on a team together. That left me with to be with the lovely Crush. My cheeks feel hot just thinking about it. Just for a side note, I need to remember that playing charades with out the ability to talk is hard. I had to write on a paper my guess and I have the spelling ability of a preschooler. A first grade could beat me in a spelling bee, which sad since I most likely have the bigger vocabulary. Oh, first grade I was a spell bee champion. But now all I am left with is the inability to spell musician or embarrassment with out ask Siri how to spell it for me. Where does that spell knowledge go? One minute, you can spell Mississippi. The next you don't know how many I or S in it.

Wait, I was talking about the game of charades. I don't really know who won because we played it till late night and  we didn't keep track of the score. I was so nice to hang out with Crush and talking to him till our voices went. I miss his voice. His words just seem to float on air when ever he speaks. Marmie agreed that he does have a magical voice. Crush could talk to me for hours and I would never grow tired of it. Banana and Marmie are walking over to me. They don't know I have a journal. Bye, I must go and I'll write more tomorrow.

6 Days and Counting,

Lace
