April Fools... Not Really

Olivia walked into the apartment that she shared with Elliot to find him cooking dinner.

The smell hit her immediately. She quickly walked to the bathroom and emptied the contents of her stomach.

After she brushed her teeth, a few times she went back out to join Elliot.

"Hey Liv." he said kissing her passionately.

"Hey El..." she said avoiding his eye contact.

"What's wrong babe, you seem off." he says stirring whatever he had cooking.

"Yeah you could say that." I mumble under my breath.

"What's that babe?" he asks.

"Nothing." I say smiling.

It's now or never Liv I think to myself.

"Hey babe, can we talk?" I ask trying to hide my worried look.

"Sure Liv, are you okay?" he asks.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine, it's just..." I say.

"Liv, you know you can tell me anything." he says.

"El, I'm pregnant." I say nervously.

He's kind of quiet for a minute and then he bursts out laughing.

"What the hell Elliot?" I say.

"That's funny, I almost believed you for a second." he says walking back into the kitchen.

I just stand there with an extremely confused look on my face.

"Happy April Fools babe." he says laughing. "Mine is no where near as good as yours."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." I say.

"Liv, you had me for a second, but your a terrible liar." he says.

"Am not!" I say.

Shit, Olivia, that's not the point I say to myself.

"El it's not a joke." I say seriously.

"Babe, give it up." he says
chuckling.

"Ugh." I yell and storm off into the bedroom.

When Elliot comes to bed he lays beside me like nothing's wrong.

He tries to kiss me and I push him off.

"Get off of me." I say frustrated.

"Livia, what did I do." he says.

"Your unbelievable!" I say, pulling on jeans and a jacket.

"Where are you going?!" he asks.

"Wherever I feel like it." I snap at him. 

I find myself in Central Park. Sitting on my and Elliot's favorite bench.

All I wanted tonight, was to tell my husband that we were having a baby, and to have him be excited. My worst fear about tonight was that he wouldn't be excited. I never thought he wouldn't believe me.
