The professor slowly walked down the paved street and thought to himself. He thought about when the Kishin was revived and when Maka and the others defeated him. He also thought about his madness and wondered if he was ever going to be safe from it. Stein had finally approached he patched up lab and slowly opened the door to see his normally messy desk. He approached his desk then turned around his chair, brushed some papers off of his keyboard, then began to type on is computer, but knocked some things off his desk. The professor would normally just leave the stuff on the floor, but this time something caught his eye and he turned around in his chair then leaned over and picked it up. When he realized what it was his eyes grew wider and wider in shock of what he had just picked up. "No. This shouldn't be here. I thought I had thrown it away a long time ago" the professor said with a hoarse voice. //flashback// It was a bright sunny day and everyone was playing outside enjoying the sun. That is everyone except Stein who was once again in the labs being tested on like he was all day everyday and Stein wasn't enjoying it at all. A doctor in a long white lab coat walked in and sat down in front of him. Then the man would star questioning Stein, asking him questions like "why do you want to dissect things?" or " what do you gain from dissecting things?". Stein just simply answered " Why wouldn't I want to dissect things?" and " Knowledge is everything why wouldn't I want to gain more information?". When the man was finished questioning him he stood up and left leaving Stein in there by himself. Not soon after another doctor would walk in and ask him the same questions, but this time Stein refused to answer he only said " I already told the other man why don't you ask him?". this process would go on for a couple more hours and then they would scan his brain then gave him something to dissect then scan hos brain again. These doctors would sit around and think of what could be the reason Stein loved to dissect. Stein sat in the other room thinking and realized that today marked two years of him coming here for three years every day. The doctors finally approached Stien's parents and told them that they had came up with the reason why he loved to dissect things. "he is lonely and doesn't have anyone to talk to that is his age. He needs friends to talk to and keep his mind off of dissecting things. Go find him some friends his age and don't bring up dissection." is what they told his parents. That day they left the lab never to return, but when Steins parents told him what the doctors at the lab had said Stein was furious. That night when his parents fell asleep he put his scalpel and some clothes into a bag and left home leaving no sign of where he left or what happened. The young boy ran into the desert running as fast as his legs would take him and never looked back hating his parents for what they had done to him. A few days later Stein stumbled into Death City and ran into a long red haired boy who seemed about the same age as him. Stein looked up at the boy and said "d-d-do you have any food?". Stein had forgot to bring food and was starving, so the red headed boy gave him some food. " Hello my name is Spirit. Spirit Albarn, who are you?" the red headed boy said. "my name is Stein. Frankin Stein, but people call me Stein." Stein said happily. The two boys talked for hours and soon became friends, then the next week Stein enrolled in the DWMA and became spirits meister. //present// Stein stood up and went over to the fire place, ripped up the paper, and threw it into the fire wanting to forget all about it. He went back to his keyboard and began to type again, but couldn't get the thought out of his head " am I really lonely?" the words raced threw his mind over and over again. The next day Stein called in sick to work and decided he wouldn't be lonely anymore. Stein worked nonstop for the next week without stopping to sleep once. That Friday night he finished and stood back marveling at his creation. HE proudly looked at the child he had just made out of scratch and smiled. "I shall name him Ronny." the professor looked at the boy he had just created. This boy Ronny was a weapon, a katana and was five years old. Ronny looked up at the man standing in front of him and said "Hello".- end of prolog 1 -
