The day before Sam's birthday party was beutiful, however the day of the pary was not. The gray clouds rolled across the bleak sky ready to drop their heavy loads. The ocean was churning and spraying with the wind. And the breezes that had started of soft and pleasant, where now vilent and blowing in trash all the way from Arizona. But none the less today was going to be a good day. Because today Sam Woods was turning 16, and that is a big number to a young lady such as herself. Her parents tidied up the porch as Sam and her best friend, Callie, did hair and make-up. They twisted around to their favorite tunes while putting on powder, and hummed along as they did each other's curls. In just two short hours everyone would be there, including Sam's five year crush, Todd Hamilton. Todd Hamilton was a jock, the most vain and selfish of them all, but he was handsom. Any girl who was lucky enough to get to know him quickly changed their minds about him. And he'd never dated any girl for long. That is, besides Katie Wikes. The most popular, mush-headed cheerleader at California High. Sam twisted her long, strawberry blonde curls in between her fingers.
"You don't suppose Todd and Katie have gotten back togrther, do you?" She asked trying not to bite her lip.
"Oh, you can never tell with those two, don't go troubling yourselve with it right now. Today is your day girl!" Callie said confidentiality. But she wasn't thinking agout Todd, or Katie, or even Sam, she could only think of Dallas Crichley, and how she would have to look good for him tonight. Sometimes people who you think care about you acually don't, but this heart-break Sam had not gone through yet. Just then Sam's mom called them down. She and Sam's dad said goodbye before leaving for a movie and dinner. The guest would start arriving any time now.
Several people arrived before Todd, but thankfully he didn't come with Katie. After awhile Dallas came, then Katie and soon the place was packed. Now Sam had made sure there was no achol in the house before the pary. However, some one brought there own and spiked the punch. And Amy Winehouse really liked the punch. She climed up on to the coffee table and sang a song before puking on Sam right as she was starting to talk to Todd. Everyone saw, and everyone laughed. Even Callie, because she aaw Dallas doing it. But the person leading the laughter, moking, and jokes was Katie Wikes. So everyone had left Sam in a puddle of puke alone, and betrayed.
