"Calibur, just do it. It's not that hard," I heard Tyler demand at Calibur causing me to stir in my sleep. I was about to open my eyes to see what was happening but Tyler stopped me.
"Shh, shh. Go to sleep Everly," Ty tried to hush me back to sleep just like a little kid.
Tyler still had me in his grip like when before I dozed off to sleep.
"Look what you've done," Tyler harshly whispered above my head.
"What," I heard Calibur ask in disbelief but also in a whisper. "How is it my fault? If you wanted all her stuff up the stairs you should have done it yourself. This stairs are too much to climb and she has a lot of luggage, I might as well be looking at my death wish because that's what it is."
"Fine," Ty finally gave in to Calibur. "You take Everly up the stairs and I will take her stuff."
I then felt the warmth that was used to be surrounding me leave just to me inclosed into another pair of strong arms. I would have stopped them and told them I could walk, but the truth is I was still drowsy and probably fall asleep on my way up and fell to my death just how Calibur said he would have been if he took my stuff. So instead, I took the offer of being cared or I would be asleep on the floor just to have people tripping over me or stepping on me and I didn't want that.
"That's fine by me," Calibur told Ty.
Unlike Ty, Calibur held me bridal style to make it easier to walk up the steps safely. I felt a breeze of air pass me causing me to cuddle in on Calibur. I buried my head in the crook of his neck, which, let me state, smelled good and was warm. Don't judge me, I was half asleep while I did this. I wasn't so conscious to know what I was doing.
"Who the heck would turn on the air conditioner on at this time," Calibur asked.
"Well, whoever it was, they were reading my mind," Ty answered in a grunt behind a couple steps down from where Calibur and I were.
"Struggling there buddy," Calibur called down to Ty as he continued to climb the stairs swiftly as if he wasn't even carrying anything like a human in his arms with him. This guy was differently buff.
"Who told you such a ridiculous thought," Ty denied.
"Um, I think it was the fact that you haven't even passed five steps up the stairs over the last three minutes."
"What? Pfft. I'm not struggling. This is just my usual norm. Not like you Mr. Speedy Gonzales."
"No one takes more than three minutes just to climb three steps on the stairs. You're just slow Ty. You got to step up your game."
"Shut up."
Calibur laughed at Ty knowing that he was in fact struggling since Calibur pretty much said he would when Ty gave him the task. Now Ty was proved wrong which led Calibur to laugh even harder. His chest vibrated making me feel it since he was carrying me. A smile tugged on my lips, joining in with Calibur.
"Oh good. Princess woke up," Calibur shouted down to Ty who was still at the bottom of the steps struggling once I opened my eyes.
"Yea, well you two aren't good at keeping quiet," I yawned out.
He was about to set me down when my eyes turned to look below me just to widen in horror. "No, no, no!" I practically shouted.
Calibur gave me a confused look. "What?"
"There's a spider on the floor."
"It's just a tiny spider Everly."
"You haven't even looked at it. And that's not what I consider tiny."
