"How much did we raise for the new seating area?"

"From the whole school? Close to $1000" Josh, my co-captain, replied.

"That's more than I thought we'd ever get"

"Yeah but I think the school as whole is sick of the mud slide it becomes at the slightest bit of rain" he continued.

"I couldn't agree more" I sighed as I put the money in one tin.

"I'm going to run this up to the office, I'll be back quickly" I spoke.

Ugh, I hated going up to the office, the ladies that work there are always so grumpy. I mean, if you don't like putting up with kids all day why do you work here?

On my way back to the meeting room, a girl ran past me in tears, I wasn't able to catch up to the girl so I walked further up and looked around the corner. There, in all the empty space stood Cole Hartman. I should have known he was to blame he's set records with the amount of girls he can make cry in a day. It's the girls fault too, they should know better than to keep running back to him.

"Really Cole? How many times have I told you, you need to be nicer to other people's feelings" I rolled my eyes.

"I have the right to say what I want; it's not my fault if they keep running back for more. Well, it's more of a bother really" he smirked.

"That's the part I'll never understand" I shook my head and started to turn around.

"Are you saying that you've never wanted someone as bad as girls want me" He said smoothly.

"Not even close to it" I replied and walked away with one last look at his troublesome smirk.

"That took ages, where did you go? Straight to the bank?" Josh looked stunned when I finally got back.

"No, Cole was up to his usual tricks again" I laughed slightly.

"And the fierce Lailah Archer tried to teach him out of his heartbreaker ways" Josh sang.

"No..." I lied.

"Face it Lailah, he won't change. From what I hear, he's so popular he can't be bothered trying to get a girlfriend at the moment"

"Maybe he should, the girls bathroom would be free of girls crying lunch break after lunch break"

"That bad, huh?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Oh yeah- Oh know is that the time, I'm so late!" I grabbed my bag and ran out the meeting room.

"Thanks Josh!" I yelled back.

"See ya"
