"Everyone here? Good, let's proceed."
The film documented the utter destruction of an enemy city; two hours to review the twenty second blast.
The General shifted in his chair. Thirty minutes in, and something was making him uncomfortable. He watched the flames, the swirling dust and debris. A woman screamed, and ran from the room. He didn't want to believe, but he saw it too.
"My God, what have we released on the world?" he said as it emerged from the conflagration. A face in the flames; an image of pure evil.
"It can't be!" He exclaimed. "Not... Trisha Spencer!"

A/N: This story resulted from a challenge, issued to me by my friend @NeverTrustADuck to write a horror story in only 100 words! In case you're wondering why I skimped a bit on character development, plot, setting, etc. "^_^"
The idea behind this comes from a story I read years ago (except the terrible evil in the smoke and flames wasn't Trisha Spencer!). Unfortunately I can't remember the title or author. I used to read a lot of science fiction anthologies, and I expect it was in one of those. If anyone recognizes it please let me know, and I will credit the author here!
And btw, if you don't know who Trisha Spencer is, you haven't read enough of my stories!
