Officer Sawamura Daichi was just beginning his career as a police officer but he had quite the knack for the profession. He was quite fit as he played volleyball throughout much of his school life. He was currently on break and decided to head to a quiet café on the outskirt of his patrol area for lunch. He was tired. His day so far hadn't been tough, just boring. Very, very boring. No robberies, no violence. No traffic accidents, no trouble. He knows he should be grateful. Today was easy. Today was peaceful.

The moment Daichi entered the café all his stress, from his boring day, disappeared. He felt instant calm. The nice kind of calm. The bittersweet scent of coffee filled his brain and made him forget his previous misery. He absorbed the feeling for a few moments longer and ordered a cappuccino. He made his way to a booth in the corner and took out a crossword puzzle. His attention remained focused on that crossword until someone cleared their throat in front of him. He looked up to see a beautiful young man, with cloudy grey hair and a small beauty mark beside his left eye, gesturing towards the seat across from him.

"Is this seat taken?" He asked with a sweet voice and a stunningly gorgeous smile.

"Huh? Uh-m, no, it's not." Daichi replied after starring for almost too long.

The man sat down across from him and pulled out a puzzle book and got to work. Wondering why this man had decided to sit with him Daichi looked around and noticed that there were no other seats left in the café. He checked the time. It'd had been half an hour since he came into the café and the seats had filled up. He looked over at the man across from him. 'It'd be rude if I didn't talk to him, right?' Daichi thought up an excuse to talk to the man and decided to introduce himself.

"By the way, my name's Sawamura Daichi." He reached out his hand, hoping that the man would take it.

"I'm Sugawara Koushi, it's nice to meet you." Sugawara said with another astonishing smile, accepting the handshake. Daichi couldn't help but smile.

Today may have started boring, but it definitely got better.
