Carys' PoV
I've been studying Martyn for about a week now. I just can't seem to get my head around him. He has chests full of swords and weapons yet he rarely kills, not even mobs. He seems to be relatively passive yet from what I've heard of him, he used to kill for sport. Perhaps I should simply ask for an explanation, but how can I do that when I'm supposed to have amnesia? He truly is a peculiar character.
I watch out of one of the tree houses as Martyn's friend returns. I take a step onto the balcony so I can get a better look at him. He's young, that much can be sure. He strides towards Martyn with his hands hanging inside his dark grey hoodie. His black jeans are covered in mud and his hair is as messy as a child's bedroom.
Martyn rushes out to him and pulls him into a hug. Martyn takes some of his inventory, allowing him to move with greater ease. Both of them are put into a state of pure bliss. I step back into the tree house and glance down into the main courtyard. Martyn glances up to me before returning to his friend, whispering something in his ear. I climb down into the courtyard to get a better look at him. He turns to look at me, a beaming smile on his face. His face is splattered with dried blood, most of it is hidden under hid hair which is as dark as the sky in The End. It's hard to fight my instinct to cringe at his state. Although it's no mean feat, I'm able to make sure I don't vomit onto his shoes, instead a make conversation,
"You've been out hunting." I state. He's taken a back slightly,
"I...um...yes." He confirms,
"What for, if you don't mind my asking?" I ask, he turns to Martyn and smiles,
"I was hunting mobs, I spent a few days in the nether." He explains, I find myself shuddering at the sound of that forsaken place, "Then I raided a few dungeons...kinda forgot to have a shower." He shrugs, I turn to Martyn,
"I wouldn't kiss him if I were you, not until he's bathed; you don't want to catch anything." I say before turning. Suddenly, Martyn grabs my hand,
"Kiss him?" He questions, his eye brows raised,
"Yes, or anything of that nature." I confirm,
"Oh no, Martyn and I aren't ... " Toby stumbles,
"We're not together." Toby clarifies,
"My apologies, you hugged him so I simply assumed that there was something going on." I apologise. Swiftly, I take my hand away from Martyn's and take a step back. An awkward silence, although uninvited, grows between us all. Fortunately, Toby clears his throat,
"Im Toby by the way." Toby smiles,
"Martyn has spoken of you. You're happier than I pictured you. Tell me, how are you so positive?" I question. If I can learn about his allies, it may show me what sort of person Martyn is.
"Um...I don't really know." He laughs,
"General happiness, that's good. You're lucky." I state,
"Yep," he agrees, "so, what's you're name?" I'm about to respond when I catch myself,
"She can't remember." Martyn explains, "I found her in the forest a little over a week ago. She took a blow to the head and now she can't remember anything."
"Well this is going to make things a bit more difficult, how are we going to introduce her to Parv?" Toby asks, Martyn hits himself on the forehead,
"I completely forgot about that!" Martyn exclaims, "I guess we'll just have to explain to him, you never know he may recognise her."
"Perhaps so." I bluff, I would be concerned if he did know me, but I may as well play along, "I'll leave you two be and go do some farming." I pick up the diamond hoe and step into the farming area where the animals are kept.
The animals flock to me, even before I pull my food out. They seem to trust me and believe that I will protect them. One of the greater weaknesses of Angel charms is that they don't have an effect on animals so they can still see my wings. It's given undercover angels away a few times but luckily I don't think Martyn's noticed yet. I glance at a mother pig with her piglet. It's lying down squealing while its mother tries to protect it. I slowly approach it. The mother glances up to me, examines me, then steps to one side. I kneel down and take the piglet in my hands. I survey the area to make sure no one is looking.

I take a deep breath before focussing on the piglet. I feel the tingle of the energy around me. Each energised particle, bouncing off my skin. I take another breath, the feeling of cool liquid floods my veins. I channel the magic around me and bend it into the piglet. Blue air swishes and swirls around the piglet, and then suddenly, I feel a sharp pain in my chest. My body begins to tire. I try to withstand the pain for as long as possible.
Soon, the piglet stops squealing. I put it down and lay on the ground for a minute. My entire body is shaking. My hand drifts to my nose, where I feel the warmth of blood. I force myself to my feet and wipe away the blood. I glance over to the piglet, who is now jumping around full of life. I guess that makes the pain worth it.

Martyn, Toby, Parv and I all sit around a campfire in the courtyard. Parv seems rather nice and he seems even less aggressive then Toby. Of course, he has no idea who I am. Although it's rather entertaining to see them try to address me with out being rude or using my name,
"So Toby, how do you know Martyn?" I ask, twirling my stick which holds a marshmallow over the fire,
"Well, we're best friends. I've known him for almost my entire life. We've done everything together, we used to be partners in the Survival Games." Toby explains,
"Survival Games?" I query,
"Yeah. You're in this arena and you have to kill everyone else, last one standing wins." He informs,
"So you killed as part of a game?" I try to push for more information without seeming too suspicious,
"Yeah but they always respawned. We quit a few years ago now." Toby defends,
"But it's still killing though, isn't it?" I proposed,
"I guess." Toby shrugs. I place my stick down and get up from the fire. I wonder into my room and pull out my note book. I've been taking notes every time I learn something about Martyn, that way I might just be able to wrap my head around him. I scribble down some information then put it away. As I leave, I hear Parv playing his guitar. I hang back a moment and observe him. The song enchants the air, everyone is listening intently as Parv sings the lyrics. I retake my seat next to Parv and listen.
Once the song is over, Martyn and Toby give a small applause. Martyn smiles at me as an idea springs to mind. He gets up and sits next to me,
"D'you like it?" He asks, I give a slight nod, "it's called Euphemia, Parv and his friends wrote it." He explains, "Maybe if you like it enough we could call you something to do with it." He suggests,
"That could work. At least until I remember my real name." I agree,
"So what can we call her?" Toby ask,
"Euphy?" Parv suggests, I feel myself cringe at the sound of it, "...or not."
"Oshimai?" Toby suggests, I shake my head,
"How about Mia? short, simple, sweet and I think it kinda suits you." Martyn says. I consider it for a moment,
"Mia..." I mumble, "I like the sound of that." I confirm,
"Great!" Martyn cheers. So now I have a new name to remember, on top of everything else. Although, it's nice to have something to address myself with.
