Christopher McKay looks at the clock. Only five minutes left till its time to go home. Its the last day of his junior year in high school. Mr. Month the science teacher for some reason is still teaching. Chris is a big gamer and science nerd, but most people don't know because he has a cool and calm exterior. He even took latin just so he could understand a game that he bought online. The second hand is on the eleven. Inside Chris's head he is counting down. "Five, Four, Three, Two, One!"
The bell rings. All the kids Jump up and start to run out the door. The hallways are louder than normal. Chris slowly gets up and puts his thin black and gray backpack over his left shoulder. The class is empty besides Chris and Mr.Month. He walks up to his teacher, "Thank you for everything you did for me this year. I will miss having you as my science teacher next year."
Mr.Month looked at Chris and smiled. "I am happy that I was able to have you in my class. Have a good summer." He pats Chris on the back.
He nods and walks out the door. He walks down the hall down to his locker #777. He twists the lock putting in the combination. The locker opens up and he grabs the rest of his books and puts them in his bag. Chris goes out the front of the school and to the bike rack. He takes the dark red bike off and grabs the also red helmet that rests on the handle bars. The helmet is now on the head of Chris and he pushes his black hair out of his eyes and begins to bike home. "I wonder why the moon is out. Its a full moon. My favorite. So I don't mind."
On his travels he thinks. "I cant wait for this break, Mom is coming home from her three month business trip, and Dad asked for a few weeks off so he could spend time with Mom while she is home."
He bikes into his neiberhood "Garden Springs." Chris has only lived here for 3 months because it is a fairly new neighborhood. Some of the houses are still being built. The one nextdoor just finished being built about a week ago.He pulles into his bumpy driveway and puts his bike up, leaning against the side of the two story house. He grabs his keys from the side pouch of his backpack. Chris walks to the door, the key glides into the hole and he twits it opening the door with ease. "I have to keep quiet Dad is probably sleeping." His stomach growls "Oh! I'm hungry." He takes off his shoes and places it on the shoe rack next to the door.
The cold tile in the kitchen makes Chris dance over to the rug over by the wooden cabinets. He opens it up and grabs a bowl then places it on the island in the middle of the kitchen. All the countertops are granet making them cold also. He walks over to the large pantry that is in the right corner, after opening it up he looks up and down contimplating about what food to eat. Chris reaches to the top shelf and grabs cereal. Fruit loops to be exact. He inturnaly laughs to himself as he reads "Family size" on the side of the red box.
"I remember that one year when Mom got me a box of cereal for Christmas. She crossed out the word family and wrote Chris to replace it. It was a Chris sized box."
He pores it into the big bowl, then closes the box and places it back on the top shelf next to the Trix box. He slides over to the refrigerator using his socks. Chris opens the door, he grabs the milk that is conveniently placed in the front because he uses so much. Chris watches as it falls down into the bowl, finishing up the last of the milk. He walks over to the recycling bin and tosses the milk jug in then walks over to the drawer that contains the silverware. He pulls the door open grabs the big spoon, closes it then turns around to face the island. A loud sound came from outside causing Chris to drop his spoon. The sound came from the house next to his. The sound of somthing big dropping. "Its probably the family that is moving in next door. I think Dad said the people moving in have a kid thats around my age."
He bends down gets the spoon then grabs the bowl and goes upstairs to his bedroom, when he gets there Chris peers out the window to look at the house next door. A large moving truck is in the driveway along with a purple KIA. He walks over to the bed. Chris's weight made the bed sink when he sat on it, he reached over and grabbs the remote, pressing the red power button in the prosses. The TV flickers on. Some cop show was playing, he put the remote down. "Now I get to eat my cereal!" Chris thinks.
Chris wakes up. He grabs his head sitting up. He looks over to his night stand he pushes the empty cereal bowl to the side and looks at alarm clock. It reads 12:00 PM. The room is dark, the TV is the only thing illuminating the room. "Wait, when did I fall asleep, and when did I open the window."
The wind from outside was strong, filling the bedroom. Chris walked over he pulls the window down closing it. A little click is heard signaling that it is shut. Chris rubs his eyes and walks over to his bed. "Mom should be home now, I should go check."
He walks down the hallway with the wooded floor squeaking with each step. The door nob to his parents bedroom was a brass color and was cold to the touch. The door was slowly pushed open. A little light from the hall way was enough to see in. Both his mom and dad were sleeping on the bed. Chris smiles. He walks back to his room. When he arives the window is open again. "How is this possible. You have to pull it up for the window to open."
But this time is diffrent. All the power in his room is off. Chris runs over to the window to close it. It was stuck. "Yeet!" Chris says sprinting back to his bed and covers his head with the blankets.
Through the sheets bright green lights shined through. Wind was flying around the room, causing the papers on his desk to make noise along with any light odject to fly around. Chris peered up from the sheets. A ugly green lady with a wart on the side of her nose has entered his room. She was standing tall in her black robe looking thing with a broomstick in her left hand. Fog covered the floor in his room. The lady started laughing. "Oh Crap!"
He ducked down into his bed. Covering his face in the proces. The green lady started to chant some words in latin. "tu canis et palpitare non Braccae!"
Since Chris took latin in school so he tried to translate it. "This makes no sence. You dog pant so no more pants? What does that even mean." Chris thinks.
He quickly sat up in bed. The room was silent everything that had fallen is now back in its place. "Was that a dream?"
Suddenly the TV lights started flickering illuminating the room once again. The window was open. Chris put his feet on the soft carpet. He slowly walked over and closed the window with a click. Signaling that it was shut. He turned around to go back to bed. But this time it was diffrent. "This looks diffrent. Why can't I see colo.." He trails off.
"I'm sweating, I should probably splash some water in my face."
Chris walks out of his room and across the hallway. He closes his eyes as he flicks the light on. The bathroom is small. This small room only consisted of a sink and toilet. He turns the silver handle turning the water on, then cups his hands and places them directly under the running water. Chris brings his face down to his hands, and splashes his face. He opens up his eyes.
"Everything is in black and white!"
He rubs his eyes vigorously. Nothing changes exept his young boy aperence. Chris's black hair is crawling down his body. His nose is out further and mouth expanding, ears growing upwards. His legs also shrinking and his joints reforming. "Som-on-e he-lp!" He tries to yell but his vocal cords are changing.
Chris closes his eyes for a few minutes expecting to wake back up in bed, he was sadly mistaken. When they reopened he had completely transformed into a wolf.
