Atlantis :It's Just The Beginning (Book One)

Atlantis

I was on my way to the King's Palace to deliver message but my horse got tired and he couldn't go any further so we stop for a while. I had to deliver the message to the king because it seems important so I decided I am going to walk the rest of the journey even though it was far. I had to reach before noon. After a long walk, I finally got there. I was heading towards the King's room when I over heard the King speaking to Zach the island scientist, it seems like they were arguing about something but I didn't know what. The soon send Zach from the room, after Zach left the room I entered and gave the letter to the king. After the king read the letter he seems more upset, he then told me that I can go so left the room and head to bar nearby.

When I got to the bar I ordered a beer and a roasted chicken. While I was eating I heard the men in the bar saying that the island is going to sink, I didn't pay them any attention because men like those only make stories because they want attention. After I finished eating I went to the Taylor's house to pick up my suit for the Ball tonight. I knocked on the door but nobody answered so I went to pickup my horse. After I picked up my horse I went back to the Taylor's house, I saw that the windows was opened so I went to the window and called him, he came out with my suit and gave it to me. I told him thanks and went home.

Soon night came and it was time for me to go to the Ball so I put on my suit and went to Ball.
When I got to the Ball I saw that there was not many people there so I ask one of the guard where the rest of the people and he told me that they are afraid to leave there house because they heard that Atlantis is going to sink so I said why people listen to foolishness.
I saw Zach leaving the room so I followed him and I saw that he was heading to the King's room so I hid behind a wall. I watched him while he go into the King's room. The king was in the room too.
''Let us do it tonight, " Zach said.
" No we're going to do it on Friday night, " replied the king.

Zach asked why on Friday night and the king said that preparation is needed and that the people will be enjoying there self on Friday which will make it easier to get them out. I returned back to the ball pretended like I didn't heard anything when I saw the King's daughter, princess Kalahari . I went over to her and ask her for a dance and she said yes. We dance all night until the Ball was over.

It is Thursday morning and I had to go to a meeting at the King's Palace. I got dressed and was on my way. When I to the palace the meeting had already started so I ran inside the palace. I took my sit and asked one of the person who was sitting beside me what the meeting is about and he said that the meeting is about a carnival that will be held on Friday night. I started to wonder if that was what Zach and the king was about. The meeting ended at noon. I went to visit the princess and asked her if she is going to the carnival. She said yes and I asked her if she would go with me and she said yes. I went on way.

While I was on my way to the market I saw two guardsmen holding up a man so I went to the guards and them what they are doing and they told me that the man was caught stealing a bag of gold coins. I told them that they should bring him to the jail nearby.

I finally got to the market. I looking for my friend Thomas because I always buy from him. I saw him and went over to him for him to give me the things that I always bought from him. After I got what I wanted I went to the animal feed shop to buy food for my horse. I ordered two bags of feed then went home.
When I got home I cleaned my house inside out then went to bed.

I woke up on Friday morning wondering what was going to happen today. I went to the seaside catch some air. While at the seaside I thought what it would be like to be in the sea under the water. I then went to a restaurant to have breakfast. When I got to the restaurant I ordered a cup of tea, a fish and two loaves of bread. I went on the outside to eat when I saw the princess walking on the seaside, I called out to her but she didn't heard me so I went to her there and asked her what she is doing on the seaside so early and without any guards. She told me that she don't need any protection and that it is never early or late to walk on the seaside. We talked until it was noon when the princess said that it is time for her to go because the time for the carnival is near. I told her that I will picked her up at 6 o'clock.

6 o'clock came and I went to the palace to pickup the princess. When I got to palace the princess was already there on the outside waiting. We both went to the carnival together. Everyone was there enjoying their self, I didn't saw either the king or Zach. I wonder if they were going to make a entrance when a bright light came out of the palace, I didn't paid the light any attention because I thought it was decoration but I felt the earth moving, I thought it was an earthquake so I bring the princess to a safe place when I realized that water was coming on the land. There was no where to go.

I went onto the roof of a house with the princess when I saw Zach push a sword through the king and pushed the kind off the palace, I was shocked to see that happened then I saw Zach went into a room at the top of the palace. The entire Island was covered by water but while we're under the water we could breathe the same.
