Chapter 1: First Day

Vanessa~

I entered the entrance of the academy. A moat swirled around the academy and all the buildings were marble. I carried my clothe bag and entered the administrative building.

There was a small office with a petite lady sitting at the desk. I walked towards her.

Office lady: May I help you?

Vanessa: I'm just here to get my key.

Office lady: Name?

Vanessa: Vanessa, house Virgo.

Office lady: Here you go sweetie.

Vanessa: Thank you.

I grabbed the golden key and roamed around looking for my dorm. A girl noticed me and walked up to me.

Lily: Are you lost?

Vanessa: Me! Uh. . . n-no

Lily: You look lost.

Vanessa: Gee thanks.

Lily: We might be roomies!!! What house are you?

Vanessa: Virgo, you?

Lily: Libra.

Vanessa: Oh we must not be roommates than.

Lily: Sorry for your loss. See you around. . . What's your name?

Vanessa: I'm Vanessa.

Lily:. . . Lily

She walked out of the office and so did I. I wandered around the large green fields where other students were chatting and playing.

I entered my dorm hall. It was gigantic and rather fancy. I couldn't believe I was accepted into this school!!! Apparently this school had boring classes like math, literature, science etc. . . But also a few interesting ones like Elemental history, combat, Elemental mastery.

The hall was so large and kids were wandering all over the hall. The long staircase went up so many flights just so I could get to my dorm. I walked across the narrow hall looking for my dorm. The floor was golden and also the walls.

I finally saw my dorm and stood in front of the door. This is it! My new dorm! And possibly my new roommate is already in there. I swung the door open.

I looked around the empty room. The walls were beige and the hard wood floor was smooth. I dropped my luggage onto the floor. Then I jumped on to the bed.

I sat up straight and smiled so when my roommate comes in she will feel welcomed. After a few minutes I decided just to start unpacking. I placed my books into the shelve and stole the top bunk of the bed.

I went to the bathroom and added all my bathroom products. Suddenly I heard the door creak open. I dropped all my items and peeked out the door.

Another girl was unpacking her suit case. She must be my roommate. I opened the door.

Vanessa: Oh hey.

Violet: Hi.

She must've been strait led because she quickly got up and sat down on a near by wooden desk.

Vanessa: What's your name?

Violet: Violet, yours?

Vanessa: Vanessa.

Violet: This room is so dusty. We better clean of the dust. 

Vanessa: How?

Violet: With brooms. I saw some as I entered the Academy.

Vanessa: Aren't those brooms magical or something?

Violet: They can still clean.

She opened the door and left. I hope she isn't a clean freak.

Later that evening when Violet finished cleaning we both say at the desk, bored.

Violet: What should we do?

Vanessa: Not sure. . .

Violet: Are you hungry?

Vanessa: Yep.

Violet: Then go down to the food court to eat before it closes!

Vanessa: Are you coming?

Violet: I already ate.

I hurried down the steps to the bottom of the dorm. This must've been the dorm for Virgo girls because I've only heard girl named with V and every ones eyes are magenta.

I left the building and followed a curvy path to the food court. The sky was becoming dark purple so I had to hurry. When I entered the food court there were hundreds of kids laughing and talking.

I stood in the line where they were serving food. I got my food and sat down alone. A quiet voice peeped in from behind me.

Gloria: Uh-h . . . May I sit here?

Vanessa: Here?

Gloria: Affirmative.

Vanessa: Uh. . . Sure.

The girl sat down and started to eat.

Vanessa: So. . . What's your name?

Gloria: My name is Gloria. What's yours?

Vanessa: It's Vanessa.

Gloria: Are you excited?

Vanessa: I guess.

Gloria: What do you mean I guess? This school will show us are powers!

A few people stared and looked at us but I kept eating.

Gloria: I have to go but it's nice to meet you.

Vanessa: You too.

I got up and started walking out back to the dorm. When I came inside my room Violet was sitting on her bed. It looked like she was thinking.

Violet: Do you think we should join a sorority?

Vanessa: Why'd you ask that?

Violet: I just ran into a girl who was the leader of one.

Vanessa: Wow that's crazy.

Violet: Yep. Well good night.
