The sound of the writers and directors news filled the kitchen in the morning while I check my emails and messages like always. I mostly checked half of one hundred of my emails by the end of lunch time hopefully if no one interrupts me.
There was a knock at the door. I walk to the front door to answer it. Casey was standing there holding an overnight bag with clothes in it. She looked like she had something important on her mind. It sounded like she had to tell me it in person.
"Why are you dress so formal tonight? It's only a sleepover." She said and looking at my outfit.
"Michael took me to lunch and I forgot to change."
She came in and said, "Why didn't you bring me with you guys, Abby. You know I'm always up to go out to get food."
I closed and locked the door behind her. She started walking to the guestroom that we had ours sleepovers at. I followed her to the guestroom. I forgot to ask her why she wanted a sleepover at my house instead of hangout out in public somewhere. I remember she always asks to stay at my house if she's afraid of someone going to hurt her like her boyfriend does to her.
"Sorry he had a lunch break and he took me out to eat. And I remember that you hated us kissing and 'baby' talking in front of you. Anyway, what was so important to tell me?" I assumed.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you two baby talk." She giggled. Then she recognized what she came here for. "Well, it's Kyle...again!"
"Oh, how's Kyle? I haven't seen Kyle in a while."
The last time I saw him was in high school was when we were a couple. Kyle and I started dating ten years ago when we were freshmen in high school. We were in a serious relationship that had everyone keep talking about. I meant everything to him. We were together until senior year. That year we broke up when I saw him dancing with another girl at prom. She kissed him! After that happened I wouldn't talk about him or talk to him. There was not a way for someone to get us back together. But no one could get us back together even it will never work out when we were going to different colleges. Like everyone says distance never works when you don't love each other.
"Its-."
A knock at the door cut her off before she finished talking. We went to the door to answer it. I reach the door and open it. I saw Michael with flowers in one hand and the other hand a teddy bear.
"I know it's not a holiday or my birthday, what's up with all of the presents?"
"I know, I just wanted to give them to you to show you that I love you."
"Awe. You're so sweet Michael,"
"Awe. Hashtag goals," Casey bursted out.
"Oh... Hey Casey. I didn't see you there." He smiled and reach out to hug her.
I totally forget that she was here. I always lose my mind when I'm with Michael. I can't think when I'm with him. You have no idea what he means to me. Sometimes Michael make me lose my mind when he's not in my sight, in a good way. I always can take care and control of my feelings when I'm around Michael. It doesn't bother me that much but I can't breathe when he's not around. The memories of him keep me company when he's away.
I thought, he was staying at Jeff's, his friend.
"Yeah, I'm here. Well I'm going to leave you two alone... you know." She winked at me and woking me out of a trace.
"Of course you can stay Cas! Michael, I thought you were staying at your friend, Jeff's to help with his sister?"
"I was, but Jeff called and canceled. His sister got went into the hospital again."
Jeff is a good brother to his sister when she got diagnosed with cancer. I know she had cancer for a couple of years now. She went to my high school to pick up Jeff from school. Jeff and I are good friends. She is older than Jeff by five years. She is too young to die from cancer at the age of 28 but that was everyone says. I wanted to help or give Jeff's sister something to get better but I give them a get well card and a teddy bear for a gift from me and Michael.
"Oh, how is she doing?" I asked.
"She is getting worse but Jeff doesn't want her...you know."
Casey interrupts, "Alright I'm going back to my room. Abby let's talk when you two are done, ok?"
"We will girl." I replied.
"It's ok, we're done talking we can talk later. You two have a fun time. I was just coming here to get my bag" Michael cackled.
He kissed my forehead and says ours 'see you later'. He went upstairs to get his stuff and then left to his friends. Casey and I went to the living room. She was digging out movies for us to watch. She grasps while holding our favorite movie. It was Jurassic World. While she sets up the movie,I needed to change into my pj's. I couldn't stay in my dress all night. Even though I feel so cute in it. I don't want to take it off.
While the previews of new movies was playing, I went upstairs to change into my pajamas and getting the blankets. I quickly put on my tank top and shorts. While I was changing, I felt someone's eyes staring through the window watching me. You know when you get a feeling that someone's watching you but you're alone in the room. Yeah, that feeling. I ran to the closet with all of the blankets and sheets. I took the top blanket and ran downstairs. I saw Casey on the couch with a bowl of popcorn on her lap. She has a hand full of popcorn in her hand and has the movie paused. I ran to the living room out of breath. Casey froze and dropped the popcorn out of her hand. She bursted out laughing,
"Are you ok, Abby? You really that excited to watch Jurassic World?"
"I'm ok...um...It's just nothing probably nothing. Let's just watch the movie." I'm trying to slow down my breathing back to normal.
"Ok."
