MY RESPONSE with a POETICAL FLAIR

POETICAL 2

The lingering question I could not escape,
The oh so eloquently hidden shadow of a lingering fear,
Afraid to draw him ever nearer you shrink from his gaze,
Did he shelter you? Or did he shove and abuse you? ,
You let him see what you're eyes despised, All his lies,
Those he tried to hide like a fake smile,
The practiced "In Fine"
The puzzle crossing a familiar line,
Transcending thru a long ago time,
You lied to save your face to hide your disgrace,
All your unforgiving rage and hate,
As the time stands still you cannot catch your breath,
Praying he doesn't get mad enough to become the monster,
And shatter your dream, your death,
You realized a long time ago you werea lost puzzle piece that he didn't want to find,
So with uncertainties and dread you bowed down,
You hoped beyond hope that he would not hear the sound of your tears hitting the ground,
He could look thru you,
Shattering your soul,
All you'd ever know.

Screaming inside your head recalling the horror as he so easily raped you in your bed,
Your screams full the air as he took his fill,
He laughed "baby you'll get used to this I'm truly a monster that you just can't kill !"
As you look up to his face you smile languid in the still,
The knife you held so easily sliced into the softness just under his chin,
You smirk as the blood runs from a throat that will never again speak a word of hate,
As you spit into eyes so filled with surprise that finally realize the enormity of despise,
"We're even now! I've found what was lost...what was rightfully mine,
It was there all the time,
It truly is a thin line between who you love and who you hate,
Crying, smiling you made that choice you've decided that is never to late,
You get up to leave...it wasn't soon enough to destroy the memory that's in your head,
Still you to smile, the bastard is dead..
The monster is dead.
