A/N** That is Mia Hawkings on the header up there. ^ Ugh she's so stunning. Okay are you ready start the story? Enjoy;))!!
+++++++++++++++++++++I awake to the familiar sound off my alarm clock that reads the numbers, 6:30. I reluctantly press it to turn the damned thing off and throw my covers to the floor.
As I make my way to my bathroom to see what I'm working with this morning, I suddenly slip in the hallway between my bedroom and bathroom. A string of curse words escape from my mouth as I inspect what made me fall. Wincing, I lift up and find my little sisters Barbie car slowly gliding down the hall. I must've stepped on it and the wheels spun causing me to trip.
Damn clumsy Mia. Never looking where you're going.
I mentally scold myself as I continue my stroll to the bathroom-- a little more annoyed this time.
I focus on the reflection in the mirror in front of me. I have thick blonde hair that falls in layers all the way to my chest. I recognize my full cheeks and lips. Also, my rather pointy nose making an appearance on my square face.
Same old me.
I find myself bitter about this realization. Wishing I could be someone else, someone else with a meaning in this world. Someone else that had some sort of purpose for their life.
I know this isn't me. All I do is read and impatiently count the hours until something interesting happens in my life. Sad, I know. I have a fear I'll always be like this.
Always waiting for something to happen within my life. Waiting until my life is used up. Until all my life has become is waiting and counting on something that hasn't, nor will ever come. I'm afraid I will waste my existence on this. But the truth is, I've got nothing better to do with my time.
Coming back to reality, I grab a a brush and start to unknot my coarse hair. Then proceed to curling my hair in big loose curls.
After I'm done getting ready, I throw on a pair of dark skinny jeans, a black and white top, and my over used black Vans.
What a plain outfit for a plain girl.
I run down to my kitchen eager to eat. I refused to eat yesterday again for the thousandth time. My father made hamburgers last night. Meat repulses me.
I know, I know. How could I hate meat? It's just un-American, right? Truth is, most food repulses me these days. Ever since mom-- I've mostly lost my appetite for almost everything.
I grab a piece of bread and stick it in the toaster. Quickly pressing the button and turning around to grab a plate.
When I turn around I am greeted with the sight of my father reading the newspaper at my huge kitchen table.
"Morning, Dad," I announce my presence in the room.
He lifts his head from his newspaper. He averts his eyes to me. "Um.. You look nice today Mia Beth."
"Oh," I say. "Thank you."
I stop to think for a couple minutes.
This is genuinely awkward because I hardly get compliments from my father. He's been pretty closed off since...
"Mia, I think you've burned your toast," my dad pulls me out of my thoughts.
"Crap!" I run to the toaster and pull the blackened bread out. In doing so, I slightly burn my hand.
"Oh well, I guess I just won't eat."
