Chelsea's POV

Augh! I flop down on the couch almost falling off the surface. Summer's almost over and I'm so damn tired. Its as if I had partied my whole life out for the past few months like damn!.
"Chelsea!!!" My mum called from outside.
"Coming" augh! She always does this calling my name then expects me to come rushing to her, oh well.
Running outside I quickly tried to locate her.
" where are you, mom?" I wiped the sweat that was dripping down my skin.
"Over here" I looked up seeing my mom in Daniel's old tree house.
"And what are you doing up there?" I folded my arms.
"Don't sass me Chels and get your butt up here quickly"
"Fine, I'm coming" I climbed the creaking treehouse, tf I'm way too old for this stuff. After finally reaching the top, I gave mom a pissed look.

"Why are we up here?"
"You know for Daniel's 12th birthday he wanted nothing more than just his treehouse back when..."
"His birthday was from 2 months ago and he's 22 now" I laughed interrupting her.
"Will you let me finish?"
"Mm" I rolled my eyes, all I wanted to do was just lay on the couch and just relax, but instead I'm up here.

"Well he's coming back from military school in 2 weeks and I need him to at least think we missed him so much that we fixed his treehouse or something"
"Are you kidding me, mom, why didn't you just like um buy him a car or even buy him a cute puppy?" I rose an eyebrow at her.

Daniel went to military school for like three years now and for a coming home present, he gets a treehouse? Ah! My mom has been in the sun too long. For some sad reason, she started to cry.
"No, no mom please don't cry, I'm sorry ok, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings..." She interrupted my apology rudely.
"No, its ok sweety, it's just that I haven't seen him in years and being that your dad's on a business trip, I'm freaking out, I don't know what to get a 22-year-old.

" I'm going to the mall with Cassie and Kathy, I could buy him something while I'm there okay?"
"Ok, do you need money?" She wiped her eyes, "if you do there's some money on the counter I was going to put it towards a party for your Gram's but it turns out she didn't want any party for her birthday again" she slightly smiled.
I laughed at this being how Gram's never wanted a party for 10 years now but mom still tries.
"You know Daniel and Cole attended the same school right?"
I immediately froze.
"wha-, what Cole, which Cole?"
"Yup, your brother's best friend, your childhood playmate."
"I gotta go" I quickly scampered down the ladder and ran straight upstairs in my room. Sliding down the door I began to cry.
Cole, that means he's coming out in 2 weeks and knowing him he'll want to tag along with Daniel. I can't have him mess up my life again.

Senior year at West Valley High and I'd just walked into the schoolyard a little tired from Cassie's party.
"I can see your still tired from last night" Cole appeared beside me.
"Mm," I kissed him knowing he was the main reason why I was tired.
"So,?"
"So?" I mimicked him
"I love you"
"Cole, guess what?"
What?" He smiled taking my backpack.
"I know", he nudged me. Smiling we slowly walked from the parking lot. The bell rang and we walked through the school doors with his hand in mine.
