Chapter Nine

"Hey guys!" Harry chirps to the small huddle on the couch. "We should play Truth or Dare but without the 'Dare' part."

"You mean like 20 Questions?" I ask.

"Sure." He waves a hand dismissively and sits on the couch.

"Okay." I say standing up and sitting on the ground. Liam stands up as well and sits next to me. I turn my head to face him and he smiles toward me. I grin back at him.

"Who should start?" Zayn asks.

"Dana should!" Louis insists suddenly. I giggle.

"Okay." I rub my chin with my gentle fingers.

"Louis," I begin. "Have you ever, put lipstick on a dog?"

"That's a stupid question!" He protests.

"Answer it!" I snap back.

"No." He says.

"Okay then." I say. "Liam, your turn."

Liam hums in thought.

"Dana, have you ever gone cliff jumping?" He asks still facing me.

"No I haven't actually." I say.

"Okay, let's get to the real stuff." Niall interrupts. "Which album of ours is your favorite?"

"Up All Night." I reply almost immediately.

"Not 'Take Me Home'?" He counters.

"Um, no."

"Why not?" Niall presses.

"Do I even need to answer that?" I ask.

"Yes! This is 20 Questions."

"Okay, well for example one of your songs is called 'Rock Me'. I don't think that song is about cuddling either." I say in thought of it. "The best description for 'Live While We're Young' is YOLO also." I laugh at the end of that.

Niall looks angrily towards me and my face drops.

"No, but seriously all-in-all it's a pretty good album. I just don't like to listen to my brother sing 'mature quality' stuff." I quickly add. "I love the song Heart Attack by the way! Didn't you sing the 'ow!' part?"

"Oh, yes! I did!" Niall says. His facial expression lightens up much more.

"I'm jealous. Every time I try to sing it I laugh at myself for the noises I make." I giggle. Niall smiles and giggles also.

"Have you ever slept naked with your dog before?" Louis asks breaking the quieting down scenery.

"Louis!" I exclaim laughing. "I don't recall me ever being naked in my bed with my dog before. Maybe when I was a baby with a dog we used to have but I highly doubt it."

"Why are all the questions directed towards me anyway?" I ask looking around at all of them.

"So we can get to know you. We already know everything about each other." Zayn answers.

"With rude questions? Yeah…" I say folding my arms over my chest.

"Oh, we're just getting started. No need to feel uncomfortable." Louis says. I then belt out a laugh as loud as a megaphone. I slap both my hands over my mouth.

"Oh god, I hate my laugh so much…" I mutter feeling embarrassed

"Don't! I lover you laugh! I've never heard one as loud as that before!" Louis practically scolds me.

"People always hated my laugh though. I'd always embarrass my friends whenever it slipped. It's so annoying. But as my uncle says, it's an honest laugh." I smile weakly at the passing memory.
