I'm standing frozen without a clue what to do. I can hear faint demon howls farther into Magnus's property. Great, just freaking great.
When Claire takes a step toward me I take a shaky step back. The back of my foot hits the edge of the bridge and I can't go any farther back. Claire smirks back at Aiden clearly noticing my fear. Her teal eyes have cracks of blackness, just like Aiden's.
"I got this," Claire whispers still looking at Aiden. "You can go help Chepi."
Chepi. That name repeats in my head and sends chills down my spine. Chepi, could it be Chepi Ritcher, my mother? I swallow against my scratchy throat nervously.
Aiden smirks and nods at Claire. He turns around and dashes farther into the trees of Magnus's property. His dash is fast, he disappeared in less than two seconds.
Claire turns back to me and I nearly trip backwards over the bridge. My heart rate is beating faster and faster by the second. "All you Royals get so nervous when there's even the slightest danger," Claire twirls her curly red hair and smirks.
I don't respond. It feels as though the words are frozen in my mouth. Quickly I look down below me, all I see is the darkness of the small river. There's no sign of Jane or Nathan anywhere.
I look back in front of my and Claire dashes toward me. She's now less than a foot away from my face. Claire snatches my wrist and holds it up. She scratches her long nails over my veins and blood starts to spill down my wrist. "Pure Blood is so rare, you know that right?"
Without saying anything I snatch my wrist back. I flip back and jump off the bridge. Quickly I grab onto the side and flip over below it. Luckily they have grips so I can hold myself and that it's dark and hopefully Claire didn't see my go under the bridge.
I can see Claire jump down the bridge into the water. When I'm sure she won't see my I climb onto the top again. It starts to pour down rain very quickly. I look up at the sky and let the rain pour over me. The blood from my wrist now mixes in with the rain and creates a light red color on the ground.
I hear demon screams from behind me. When I look around I see a couple of Hell Hounds. I make a dash toward the trees where Aiden went. I only have one location in mind, Chase.
I know Chase is tough and can fight, but what if he's with Chepi. We don't know how powerful she is. What if she already hurt him? I sprint for about five minutes before my legs and lungs give out. I collapse against a huge tree and tears escape my eyes.
"I don't believe my eyes," I cold and harsh voice says from behind the trees. Instantly I recognize him from one of my visions, Abraham Ravenwood. "Bree Ritcher in the flesh and blood."
Quickly I wipe away the tears and stand up straight. My words are still frozen in my throat and my heart beat has kicked up even more. And Incubus that's over 300 years old is standing in front of me.
Abraham dashes toward me and flashes his fangs. He's grabs my shoulders and now he's only a couple inches away. There's no reflection in his black abyss eyes. "I haven't fed on Pure Blood in over 300 years," he looks at my neck, he wants to feed.
I grip the tree behind me and Abraham grows out his fangs even more. I grip the tree even harder and then my hands slip through it. I take a step back and so do my feet, then I go completely through it. My elemental powers just saved me. I just manipulated nature.
Without looking back I try and dash forward again. My dash isn't as fast as before since I can't control my powers and because I'm tired. Abraham comes up from behind me and twist my shoulder.
