We went to a diner and got our usual breakfast. We went to this diner every Saturday morning and sometimes Sundays too. So, they already know us and what we order.

We sat down in our usual booth and ordered.

*Annabelle POV*

"So, what's on the agenda for today?" I asked Liam, taking a sip from my hot chocolate. Ouch! I burnt my tongue! Damn, this hot chocolate is HOT!

I tried not to make it obvious that I was stupid enough to burn my tongue on a drink I got every Saturday. That would be embarrassing. Plus, Liam would go overboard in first aid. He always worried too much or was overprotective.

But that's what I love about him. It shows that he cares about me. Does he care about me? No... Not that way. Just as a best friend or a sister. Man, I'm friend zoned forever.

"Well, first, I wa-what's wrong?" He asked worry and concern in his eyes. Damn it! I suck at hiding things.

"I burnt my tongue..." I mumbled, having a slight lisp. I could already feel the stinging on my tongue. I sticked it our for some air. I saw the 'oh my god! Are you okay?' Look on Liam's face.

"Liam, I'm fine. Don't worry about it. It'll go back to normal in no time." I tried to convince him. Nope, didn't work...

"Oh my god! Can we get some ice please??" Liam yelled to Diane, our regular waitress , like I was dying or something. I have to admit, it was cute. And a bit embarrassing, but oh well.

"Liam... It's okay. I'm not gonna die." I said as laughed slightly. He didn't look convinced, so I reached for his hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. Every time we touched, I felt sparks and fireworks. Especially when we kissed.

I know what you're thinking, 'you kissed more than once??' Well, I'll explain that later.

He finally looked like he was a little relaxed. I just stared at him, dreamily. How do I have him in my life? I'm so lucky. I wiped that look away quickly, hoping he didn't notice. We just stared in each others' eyes.

Diane came back to our table and gave me a cup of ice. I popped one in my mouth, sucking on it to soothe my swollen tongue.

Liam took my hand and squeezed it tightly. He looked worried again. I sighed. Will this boy ever stop worrying about me?

I smiled,"Liam, will you ever stop worrying about me?"

Well, I guess I speak my mind sometimes.

"Nope." He popped the p. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I let you get hurt in any way. If anyone hurt you, I would beat the crap outta them. Just like I did Sean." He looked so proud of himself and I could tell that he was being sincere.

That's exactly why I don't tell you... I wouldn't be able to live with myself if you got in trouble because of me. But, he was the sweetest boy on earth.

I must've had a weird look on my face while I was thinking because Liam was giving me a 'hello?? Where'd ya go?' face.

"Sorry, kinda zoned out thinking about something."

"What were you thinking about?"

"Uhhh... Nothing important."

"It must've been important, you had your deep-thinking face on."

"I have a "deep-thinking" face?"

"Yeah, it's so cute! You scrunch up your nose and your eyebrows wiggle." He laughed.
