Jess pov
I woke up and turned to face Hayes but when I looked up no one was there. I sat up my hair a mess , and all of our stuff was packed and an outfit was laid out for me.
"We're leaving now you me and coach" hayes said to me
"What why hayes this doesn't make sense we don't have to leave till Saturday..." I said to him
"I know but something happened and we have to leave" I asked him
"We just have to leave okay" Hayes said with one tear running down his face
"Babe what wrong" I got up from the bed and sat down next of him on the hotel floor his expression scared and sad
"Turns out 2 guys that played last night were taking steroids and they mad us forfeit so we gave up the title so we're leaving" na he said tears streaming form his eyes he placed his had on my shoulder "it's over, it's ruined, it's my fault I'm the team captain I should have known"
"Hayes don't you dare say this your fault everything will be fine okay,please haysie I love you okay I don't want you to think it's your fault okay" I kissed him and we left for Carolina
