In quiet but endearing moments like these I knew everything was right. I once knew a man whom taught me that even behind a dark cold mask could you find happiness amid the stars. It's been many years since then and I can't help but wonder about those sacred times, how they still linger in my mind. I lay awake as the world ticks by, minute by minute, second by second. The air is dense and chilled, the hair on my body stands up as I stare at the ceiling above me. Silence is filled throughout the house, not even the wind dare make a sound. I tossed myself over to face the other way, in most cases there would be someone staring back but in my case the bed was empty and I was alone.
