Mission 2; Meet the Requester, the Mayor!

The train finally came to a hault and Natsu woke up instently. He grabbed everything in lightning speed and ran off the train. "I guess he didn't want to get left on it again" Lucy said, grabbing her bag and exiting down the walk way.

When they were all out, Natsu made steam come out of his nose. "Never again!" he ranted "You're not leaving me on that death trap again!"

While the whole group chatted, they were unaware of a small girl watching from the side seemed to look like she was going to cry. She was hidden by the shadows. Lucy looked over in her direction and for a minute, their eyes locked. But that was inturupted by Natsu yelling and when she looked back, the girl was gone.

'I must of been seeing things' she convenced herself before walking off with the rest of them.

"I think the directions were right but...." Lucy said. Before them stood a mansion. No. Even THAT was an understatment. "...What's with this place?"

"Why are we standing out here?!" Natsu ragged "Let's just go in already!" He was about to run in when a firm hand stopped him.

"Hault, state your buisness," a security gaurd ordered, squenting his eyes at the four. Natsu was about to yell again but Erza stepped in.

"We're from Fairytail, we're here about the extermination you've asked us to do," she said formely.

The securety gaurds face flushed "I'm so sorry, please come in!" he paniked, opening the gate at great speed. Erza nodded her head in a form of gratitude and walked in. The rest followed.

Now they waited in a living room, waiting for their client. Many movements could be heard.

The door flew open and an old man with a young looking face stood in awe staring at them.

"I'm so sorry about my gaurds rudness, no one has ever taken up the request before!" he said breathing heavily.

Erza stood up"It's okay sir, but please come and explain what you want us to do," she instructed. The old man nodded and hastly sat down at the same time Erza gracefully sat down.

"So," he said, placing his head ontop of his folded hands. "First, I should tell you who I am, I'm the mayor of this town but please just adress me of Drem."

Thegroup nodded "Um," Lucy spoke up "Why exactly is so urgent that you put such a high reward on this job?"

The mayor sighed and clossed his eyes "I knew this was going to have to be answered." he said. He sighed again and sat up straight "The easiest way to say what we want you to get rid of is a monster, demon or curse, call it what you like but we need you to get rid of it."

"Butsir," Erza intersected "For such a big mission, why was it on the request board that anyone could take it, this is obviously a hard job to do!"

The mayor sighed "At first, it was on the highr ups request board but no one came to help so it only got worse so I asked for it be open to everybody."

"I guess I should tell you what exaclty you need to do," he said when he saw their confused expressions "You see, my wife was killed 5 years ago by this demon," the word demon came out rather harsh. "After that, many of my servants died because of it then it killed a lot of our live stock."

"This demon, it's been here for only fove years and is only a young but if it was to get older, I fear the worse could happen,"

"So," Erza intersected "You want us to get rid of this demon by killing it, am I right?"

The mayor nodded "Ever since my wife's death, only bad things have happened, I can't tolerate this creature, please get rid of it!" he had gotten on his knees and was crying. Lucy looked at it shocked but Natsu had a face of anger.

"Anyone who tears apart a family," he said lowly, everyone looked at him "Deserves punishment! Tell us where it is and we will quickly exterminate it!" The mayor looked at him with tears in his eyes.

"Oh, thank you!" he weaped "I'll get the servants to draw you a map imediently!"

The whole group, other than Erza, was trying to get the man to stop crying. That feeling again. The feeling that there was more than told. It was their again.

She was about to question him when the servants came in with the detailed map and lead them outside. It was to late now to ask questions.
