Chapter 21: Recruits

Alena's P.O.V
I walked down the hallway of the facility and looked at the small group of the new recruits for the new team of gifted teenagers from the Avengers Academy. The good part about this is that Charlotte is apart of the group since she got accepted into the academy. So basically I'm giving them the tour.
I walked down the set of stairs and looked at the group, "good morning. You all must be the tour group from the academy. My name is Alena Rogers. Well also known as Dark Fire. I'll be giving you all the tour."
I made eye contact with my little girl who stood there with the biggest smile. I gave her a smile and then looked at the other students, "welcome to the Avengers Facility. One day I expect every single one of you in this room to be here. Maybe one day you'll be the one giving the tour. Now I'll take any questions before we start the tour."
A boy raised his hand and pushed up his glasses. I nodded to him so he could ask his question, "what's it like being an Avenger?"
I smiled slightly and looked at them, "it's a commitment that you have to make. I enjoy protecting Earth and everyone on it. It makes my life exciting. But you have to be prepared to fight."
A girl with brown hair raised her hand and I nodded for her to go ahead and ask her question, "what's it like with Thor and Loki being your older brothers?"
I chuckled at the question and smiled, "Thor is loud at times and yells a lot. Loki is more of the quiet brother."
I looked over and saw Charlotte raise her hand. I smiled at her and nodded so she could ask her question, "which kid is your favorite?"
All the teens laughed at Charlotte's question. I chuckled and looked at my daughter, "well that's a good question... I would have to say Alex... I'm kidding Charlie... I love you both equally." I looked at the others, "any other questions?"
"Yeah I have a question" said a familiar voice and the teens turned to see Tony Stark walking toward me. I rolled my eyes and looked at the billionaire, "who helped you chose your superhero name?"
"You did. Now get out of here. I have a tour to do" I said making the teens laugh as I pushed Tony up the stairs.
"I'm going! I'm going!" Tony said speed walking up the steps. I smiled and looked at the group.
"Follow me" I said as I walked down the hallway with them behind me. I stopped in front of the training room seeing Steve training with Natasha. I turned and looked at my group, "these are the training rooms. When you come to this building the training rooms are free to any of the members of the facility. But you must have a key card to enter."
I continued to walk down the hallway with them following me. I pointed to lab with a small smile, "this is where Dr Banner works. Or he is also known as the Hulk."
Bruce looked out of the lab and smiled at the group, "does anyone know what created the Hulk?"
Charlotte jumped up and down dying to answer the question that her Uncle Bruce had asked. Bruce nodded so that Charlotte could answer the question, "the Hulk was created when Dr. Banner was trying to recreate the super soldier serum used on Captain America. He tried mixing in some gamma radiation, tested it on himself, and became the Hulk."
"Good job, Charlie" Bruce said smiling at the group before heading back into the lab to work on whatever he was working on.
I looked at the group, "now can anyone tell me about The Star Spangled Man with a Plan? Where was he born?"
A boy raised his hand and I pointed to him so he could answer, "he was born in Brooklyn, New York."
"That's correct" I said smiling as Steve walked over with a towel around his neck collecting the sweat from training. He gave the recruits a small wave. I looked at him and smirked, "any wise words for the future heroes?"
"Don't back away from any challenges that you have to face. Face those challenges and learn something from them" Steve said smiling.
"You can be the king but watch the queen conquer" Natasha said walking over with a smile.
"That's right! Girl power" I said giving Natasha a high five causing the group of teens to laugh. We want them to have fun and not be bored all day. Charlotte smiled and laughed at us being silly. She knows that me and her father can make her cheeks turn red if we be silly.
So for the rest of the day I continued with the tour and showed the group around the different areas of the facility. It was fun to talk to the other students in the group. For the last part of the tour we all went outside for a little surprise. I had told Thor to go up to Asgard for a little bit and then he would come back down to surprise the group of young heroes.
The light was brought down from the sky and touched the ground making the students gasp in surprise and shock. Once the light disappeared there stood my lovely older brother with his hammer in hand. I heard a few students gasp and whisper to their friends as Thor walked over toward the group.
"I heard that my dear sister was giving a tour to some future heroes" Thor boomed with the biggest smile on his face.
"Any questions for the God of Thunder?" I asked and hands shot up. I pointed to a young man who I now know as Dylan.
"What's it like in Asgard?" Dylan asked.
"It's amazing. The large golden palace is beautiful and the villagers are very kind" Thor answered with a smile.
I pointed to another student who's name was Taylor, "what's it like to have Dark Fire as your little sister?"
"She's an annoying pest I can't get rid of" Thor said making me glare at him.
"I'd take back those words, Pointbreak" Tony called as he got into his car. I looked at Thor.
"You better sleep with one eye open to night, brother" I said smiling slightly.
"Oh trust me... I will" Thor said smiling at the group.
"Any more questions?" I asked. When everyone had finished asking their questions they all went back to the academy. I had kissed Charlotte goodbye and I said I'd see her at home.
I walked back into the facility and saw Steve. I ran over to him and hugged him tightly with a smile, "guess what."
"What?" Steve asked smiling slightly.
"We're gonna have another baby!" I said with excitement.
"Yes!" He said smiling widely and hugging me. I can't wait to find out the gender of the baby. We would have to think of names of course.
