I sniffled before wiping my eyes and sat up on my bed. It was only 11pm, I wasn't even tired. I took a shaky breath before my phone buzzed.

I answered it, "hello?" I asked shakily.

"Hey baby," I heard Nathan's drunk voice above loud music in the background.

"Nathan? How did you get my number?" I asked confused.

"I miss you," he whined over the music.

I rolled my eyes, "you're drunk Nathan. Go home." I said with a small smile.

"But... But can you sleep with me tonight?" He asked.

"Nathan you are drunk, ok? I'll call Jay to pick you up, where are you?" I asked him, sighing.

"Oh, so you're getting it on with Jay?" He snapped in disgust.

I giggled a little, "Nath, shut up. Where are you?" I asked again.

"At the party, can you come?" He asked.

I sighed, "I'll be there in ten minutes. Don't do anything stupid." I said before hanging up.

I quickly text Jay asking him to pick me up. He text back saying that he would. I grabbed my phone and left the dorm, locking the door behind me before going down the flight of stairs. I went back outside and found that it had stopped raining but I knew it wouldn't be long before it started again.

I saw Jay's car and quickly got into the passenger seat, "so, why are you going to the party?" Jay asked, confused.

"No reason. Just bored. Sorry for asking for a lift," I lied.

Jay shrugged, "it's alright. How will you get back?"

"I'll get Nathan to give me a lift." I smiled, well hopefully he will let me drive his car. I don't trust him to not get us into an accident.

He nodded his head before we arrived at the party, "thanks Jay. See you later," I smiled and got out of the car, heading into the house.

I went to where they would normally be but I only saw Sophie, Ben, Ally and Brooke. No Nathan. I ran a hand through my hair before heading upstairs to look for him. I heard shouting from downstairs over the music and made my way towards the shouting. I walked in and saw Nathan punching Austin in the corner where I had just looked.

Oh, brilliant.

I went over to Nathan, "stop it! Nathan you're drunk!" I yelled, looking him straight in the eye.

Austin then punched Nathan in the face. Ben just stood there with his arms crossed over his chest, his face giving away no emotions. Brooke looked horrified but made no effort to intervene. She looked at me then her look changed to one of pity. Nathan punched Austin in the stomach before Austin did the same back to him. Nathan doubled over in pain and it was obvious that Austin had hit him harder.

"Nathan! Austin! Stop it! Ben, do something!" I shouted.

Ben looked at me before pulling Nathan away from Austin. Nathan struggled against his grip but Ben said something. They stopped and looked at me,

"Get out of here, Nathan," Ben ordered and pushed him away.

Nathan didn't say anything and just stormed out of the party. I looked at Brooke but she refused to meet my gaze. I quickly ran after Nathan. He was stumbling over to his car and went to get in the drivers seat. I grabbed his arm, "Nathan," I said softly.

He froze under my grip, "leave me alone," he spat and ripped his arm out of my grip.

I looked at him, hurt, "fuck you, Nathan. I'm trying to fucking help you here but you're just being a dick as usual!" I shouted at him.

He looked at me and started laughing, "what?" I snapped in annoyance.

"You never swear that much in a sentence," he smirked.

"I hate you!" I yelled once again.

I went to walk away but Nathan grabbed my arm pulling me over to him, "I'm... I'm sorry. Can we just go back to my house?" He asked quietly.

I took a deep breath, "fine. But I'm driving." I muttered and stole his keys, getting into the drivers seat.

"My car!" He yelled in annoyance.

"You're drunk. Get in." I said giving a small smile. He grumbled in protest but got into the passenger seat.

"Hurt my car and I swear-" he started.

"It's a car for crying out loud! Just give me directions to your house," I started driving.

"Right." He muttered, "you better not crash my car," he mumbled.

I smirked and turned right, "I won't crash your precious car. Why did you start fighting with Austin?" I asked.

Nathan stayed silent making me roll my eyes.

"Left," he muttered. I turned left going down another road, "left again," he said and after another few silent minutes he said, "stop."

I parked the car and we both got out. I gave him his car keys and we went up to his front door, "don't panic we're not breaking in," he teased.

I shot him a dirty look before we entered. I heard the television on in the living room and Nathan's mum walked out and looked at me shocked. Oh how awkward.

"Lexi... Nathan, why are you bleeding?" She asked.

Nathan glared at her, "none of your business," he snapped.

I hit his chest and he hissed. Oh yeah, Austin hit him there. Oh well.

"Be nice. Sorry, Mrs Sykes I was just leaving," I smiled politely.

"Oh you don't have to leave Lexi. You can stay the night, if you want. Jess is asleep upstairs, Nathan show Lexi the spare room if she doesn't want to stay in your room. Night," Karen said before going upstairs.

I looked at Nathan who scoffed, "stop being a dick," I snapped, "who's Jess?" I asked, confused.

"My sister," he muttered before storming upstairs. I rolled my eyes and followed him into his bedroom and he closed the door. Before handing me the first aid kit.

"What makes you think that I'm going to help you?" I asked.

"You always do," he smirked and we sat down on his bed.

I got out the cleaning wipes and wiped the blood off his face, "sadly, I do. And don't be so rude to your mum," I scolded.

"You are so annoying," he snapped.

I smirked slightly, "but you still let me look after you," I said softly.

"I didn't think you would come to the party..." He admitted.

I finished cleaning up his face, "me either... How come you were drunk?" I asked, binning the dirty wipes.

Nathan shrugged, "why not?" He snapped and went back to glaring.

I rolled my eyes before he lifted his t-shirt off, "why are you stripping?" I asked, looking away.

Nathan chuckled before hissing slightly. I looked at him and saw a bruise forming on his stomach, "oh my god... You need to go to the hospital," I said placing my hands over it.

"I'll be fine," Nathan mumbled looking at me.

I gave him a disbelieving look before looking back at his bruise brushing my fingers against it, "Nathan..." I whispered.

"It's ok," he mumbled making me sigh.

He stood up and gave me a t-shirt and some sweatpants. He pulled his jeans down before getting into his bed. He turned away and I quickly changed into the clothes before joining him.

"What's with the star tattoo?" I asked as he turned the light off. The only light coming in was from the moon and the street lights.

"It's personal..." He mumbled.

I nodded my head as I traced the outline if his tattoo, he grabbed my hand, "I'm sorry for earlier..." He said.

I shrugged, "no, I'm sorry. I brought it up."

He shook his head, "no... Maybe one day I'll tell you... Just not today."

"So you're saying one day we can actually have a conversation without shouting?" I teased.

He chuckled, "maybe. How about we at least try to be friends?" He asked seriously.

I nodded my head, "I guess that could work. Just don't make sex noises when I'm on the phone to my mom because now she thinks I slept with a random guy," I muttered.

He grinned before chewing on his lip ring, "not making any promises," he teased.

I rolled my eyes before yawning, "night, Nathan," I murmured.

"Goodnight Alexis," he murmured.

When I next woke up, Nathan's arms had somehow wrapped themselves around me. Not that I was complaining because they actually felt kinda nice- No! I was complaining! Of course I was complaining! I felt his face in the crook of my neck, his lip ring accidentally grazed against my neck before he pulled away and looked at me with a smirk.

"I could get use to this." He winked.

I rolled my eyes in disgust, "man whore. And you aren't going to get use to it." I said and sat up running a hand through my hair.

Nathan shrugged and placed one hand behind his head making his muscles flex, "you love it." He teased and chewed on his lip ring.

"Do you work out?" I blurted out before blushing. I mentally face-palmed myself. WHY WOULD YOU ASK THAT LEXI?

He raises an eyebrow but shook his head, "no I don't. Are you checking me out?" He replied cheekily.

I shook my head, "never in a million years. When are you driving me home?" I asked, "also do you have a spare toothbrush?" I asked. Morning breath.

He nodded his head and got over me to get out before looking at me, "you coming then?" He snapped.

"Dick," I muttered and got out of the bed following him.

He took me into the bathroom and gave me a spare toothbrush. I brushed my teeth and then so did he. Nathan then left the bathroom and I rolled my eyes before following him downstairs. I felt a bit embarrassed wearing his top and sweatpants but it's not like we did anything.

Nathan made himself a cup of tea and his mom came down and smiled at me, "morning Lexi. Morning Nathan. Sleep well?" She asked.

Nathan didn't reply while I nodded my head, "yes. Thank you for letting me stay." I thanked her.

Karen nodded her head and smiled before seeing the bruise on Nathan's chest. It was a black-ish purple-y colour. It was clearing visible on his chest, he hadn't put on any clothes before he had come downstairs.

"Oh my goodness, what happened? Are you alright? We need to get you checked out at the hospital. Who did this?" Karen asked shocked.

Nathan rolled his eyes, "you're just like Alexis. Just leave it, I'm fine," he snapped, annoyed. I rolled my eyes at him.

"I'll try and get him checked out Mrs Sykes," I said, smiling.

Karen nodded her head, "please, it's Karen. Nathan have you offered Lexi anything?" She asked as a girl came in. She looked as if she was around 15 or 16.

She looked at me and raised an eyebrow, "who's this?" She asked.

"Jess, this is Lexi," Karen introduced.

I smiled at Jess who returned it, "nice to meet you, Nathan doesn't shut up about you." Jess laughed.

Nathan turned around and glared at his sister before looking at me, "what do you want?" He asked rudely.

"I'm not hungry," I replied.

"Oh nonsense! Nathan will help you out, won't you Nathan?" Karen asked.

Nathan shrugged but said nothing. Jess quickly stole Nathan's cup of tea before walking away, "fuck you, Jess!" Nathan shouted annoyed.

Karen gave him a look while we heard Jess' laughter, "language. Now look after Lexi, ok? Hopefully I'll see you before I go to work, Lexi," Karen smiled before leaving.

I looked at Nathan who was glaring at the counter, "you need to lighten up," I teased lightly as I went over to stand next to him.

Nathan glared at me, "you can fuck off as well. I'm not going to hospital I'm fine. God, you're annoying." He muttered.

I rolled my eyes, "Nathan stop being an ass, ok?" I snapped, "so... You talk about me?" I asked, smirking.

Nathan rolled his eyes and ran a hand through his fluffy bed hair. Hmmm... I wonder what it would feel like if I touched it... What? Who said that? Did I really say that? Pfft, no!

"I don't. Although, I may mention how annoying you are," he replied, giving me a small smirk.

I smiled a little, "I knew you didn't hate me," I sang.

"Shut up new girl," he muttered and made himself another tea, "you want one?" He asked. I nodded my head.

"Two sugars," I mumbled.

Once he finished making the tea he gave it to me and headed back upstairs. I followed him and we went back into his room and sat on his bed. I grabbed my phone and saw a text from Brooke her asking me where I am.

'At Nathan's be back soon x -Lexi'

"Who was that?" Nathan asked.

"Brooke," I mumbled.

"Did she say anything about me?" He asked stiffly.

I frowned confused, "erm no? Should she have?" I asked.

Nathan shook his head and said nothing.
