"What about her?"
He pointed to a girl across the way. Sitting outside the other entrance of the small cafe and steaming brew in front of her with her hands wrapped around the mug. She had her head up laughing, smiling at what her friends must have said. It was obvious to the fact that she put time into the way she looked. A full scarf on the cold day, makeup done, and typical converse. She had her hair half way up as well. Shimmering lip gloss stained her lips.
"The popular girl at school. Aspiring fashion designer. Maybe even makeup artist."
"I was going to go with artist."
"Really? She doesn't look like she fits that stereotype." I judge.
"Exactly why I chose it." Lachlan declares next to me, tapping his fingers slightly on the table. Playing a loose game we had picked up on, stereotype Lachlan asked me another question.
"Boyfriend or no boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend." I retort without hesitation. I take a sip of my coffee as Lachlan nods in agreement.
"Okay. That man over there?" I look in the direction of where he was slightly pointing. A man sat there, glasses, a brief case and a laptop.
"Law firm. Could be office work as well."
"Yo! That's what I was gonna say!" Lachlan gets up and trashes his cup.
"Are you finished yet so we can get going?" Lachlan states mock-seriously.
I gulp down the rest of my coffee standing up and throwing the cup into an open bin.
"Yup. Let's go."
