Taylor has been hidden for sixteen years by overprotective, famous parents. They keep her in the house, always under their constant surveillance. She's been trapped indoors for over a decade-and-a-half and it's getting to her. Everyone knows Taylor's older sister, Isabella, but they don't know Taylor. Why? Because she's the girl that was never supposed to happen. She's the mistake, the accident. And her parents hate her. They don't want her and they don't want anyone to know about her. So they keep her locked up. Until that one night. One precious, beautiful, wonderful night, Taylor's parents and sister are out of town. They leave with the promise of returning in the morning. They warn her to stay in the house, ordering her not to leave. But Taylor doesn't want that. So, she steals the keys to her father's prized Lamborghini and heads off to the one person that knows and loves her--Taylor's cousin. She slings a bag over her shoulder, climbs into the driver's seat and zips down the road. She drives and drives and drives until she reaches the next state. California. And that's where her new life begins. Taylor meets her cousin's best friend, Derek. And she hates him. He's pushy, arrogant, in-her-face, and overconfident. But he's intriguing, interesting. And if she's stuck living at her cousin's house, forced to interact with Derek on a daily basis, will she start to like him?
Will Derek and Taylor grow closer? Will Taylor's parents find her and put her back under house arrest?
