I don't want nobody to get killed

Yu's POV:
Today was even worse then I thought it would be. My parents tried to kill me, and now I have to go to an orphanage. On my way to the orphanage, the man driving keeps telling me that I'm gonna be happy there, and make new friends. What a load of lies. I have never had friends. People tell me it's because I'm short tempered. I don't think that they realise that their the reason I don't have friends. I mean I was always picked on for being alone all the time. All I did was try to defend myself.

I'll come and get you, I am always ready to fight

I looked out the window of the car as it came to a stop. The man opened my door and I got out. We walked into the orphanage and a women greeted us. She walked me over to a room full of kids and got their attention. "Kids, we have a new member of the family! This is Yuichiro Hyakuya! Please treat him nicely!". A blonde haired boy held his hand up and said "Hai!". After the woman left, I went over to an abandoned part of the room and sat down. After a few minutes that blonde boy came over and introduced himself. "Hi. I'm Mikaela, but you can just call me Mika! I hope we become great brothers!" Mika smiled at me. I looked at the boy, frowning and said "Tch, leave me alone". The boy sat down next to me "So why are you here?" He asked. I stood up, clenching my fists and yelled angrily "Don't try to act like your my family! I'm here because my family tried to kill me! So don't act like your my brother!". I walked out of the room and sat down in a dark spot against the wall. After a minute or so Mikaela came out and sat in front of me on his knees. He looked at me for a moment before pulling me into a hug. " I'm sorry, that you've had a rough time. But please accept us as your new family. And please don't hate me." He whispered. I was shocked by his words. I simply whispered back "I'm sorry, Mika..." .

So don't take all of the blame, we were all swept away

Mika's POV:

A few months passed and Yu-chan became my best friend. He started being open about his past with me.

Don't take all of the weight, you always do

One morning I woke up next to
Yu-chan, he was curled up against me. 'Yu-chan looks so cute' I thought. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at me for a minute, before realising that he was cuddled up against me. He blushed and quickly got up saying
"G-gomen...". "Its ok" I said smiling at him. Akane came in and said "hurry up and get dressed! We're gonna eat breakfast without you if you don't hurry!" She walked out smiling. We quickly got dressed and went to eat breakfast.

We'll always be something you cannot control

After eating breakfast, Yu-chan and I played with the other kids.

We will overcome, your salvation has begun

Things carried on happily like this. Until the virus spread and the Vampires took us...

No signs, no lights, such a mess all over

They dressed us all in the same white and black clothes... They took blood from us...

Don't kill your hopes, you make me realize who I need

We lived in small houses... Living off of mostly bread, water, and vegetables... It was a rare occasion that we had meat...

I'll be there, hold on, they'll change you somehow, so where are you now?

I offered my blood to a noble named Ferid... In return for making our lives a bit better...

I'll reach you by dawn, before you can be changed, illusions are torn

In return for my blood, he gave me the ingredients for Akane to make curry...

The fallen angels, you run with don't know, it is our pain that makes us all human after all

Yu-chan was always mad at me for offering my blood... But I knew it was worth it... I just wish that we could escape...

Once when Yu-chan and I were sitting next to the underground river, I begun to sing a song that I thought I had forgotten long ago...

"I don't want nobody to get killed, I'll come and get you, I am always ready to fight, so don't take all of the blame, we were all swept away, don't take all of the weight, you always do, we will always be something you cannot control, we will overcome, your salvation has begun..."

Then, Yu-chan started singing with me... We both sang

"No signs, no lights, such a mess all over, don't kill your hopes, you make me realize who I need"

We both stood and held hands as we sang together

"I'll be there, hold on, they'll change you somehow, so where are you now? I'll reach you by dawn, before you can be changed, illusions are torn! I looked at Yu-chan and asked "how do you know that song Yu-chan?". He smiled and said "My mom use to sing it to me before I went to bed". We both smiled and began to sing again. By this time, a vampire caught us singing, and we had to run away in order to not get caught and punished for singing a rebellious song. When we returned to the house Akane lectured us about being late for dinner. After eating dinner Yu-chan and I went to bed and talked a bit about our pasts.
