Whispered winds rippled the water creating a majestic fantasy for mortals to discover.
The sea, a sapphire blue was darkening and deep searching into the soul of the mysterious ship that never returned. For those many years it was us who disturbed any ship passing our waters...Many say we are mythical or enchanted devils with a thirst for humans. The hurricanes of envy stir within us, for all we wanted was to be free from a curse that ruined us all. Fire ignites and the ship is dancing in a sea storm of our power.
Sirens. These are our names with infusing beauty like no other and disguised to be exquisite. Evil in our hearts blackened and once opal sheen of our mermaid tails were now poisoned and alluring, the mask of our body was shown different to a human eye then any siren. To them we were the stars in the universe, a shimmering light that bursts our pearl
and emerald scales and lush blonde hair which was silky like gold silk spun and woven.
All I wanted was to be like them, to walk, but the uncontrollable curse of the Sea Queen, ripped my thoughts of any memory that I once behold.I remember. The ship. Those many years. What I did that could not be undone...
We took control and the fire burned the oak of the ship till the ashes floated creating a swirling ash lake on the aqua surface.
Venom of our words hypnotised the young sea men as we sang in beautiful falsetto our voices, a melody drenched in clarity. It was then we would attack and drag our victims down to the unknown strangling and suffocating the poor men our evil taking its toll.
I regret. I never wanted to be a slave to the Sea Queen and have to do this hatred. My tears cannot be seen within the waters as they drift into silent abyss.
Many men who fall to my death ask of who I am. And all I say is...
"I am cursed, I am a siren, my name is Ariel."And then we are gone.
