Possession [Phan]

Chapter one

"Why the hell are the lids on the other side of the store?"
The boy asked his raven haired friend, who shrugged his shoulders in reply.
"Dan! Don't swear!" Phil scolded. "We're in public!"
Dan chuckled, amused that his only friend was getting worked up over something as petty as this. Phil was always trying to make a good first impression on others, even total strangers in a coffee shop. But Dan couldn't understand why, everyone he knew adored Phil Lester, he was just that kind of guy. He knew how to make people laugh without even trying, he was lucky. That's all it was, just luck. I wish I could make people light up like that. "Ugh, whatever. You need to lighten up, you know. No one cares."
Dan replied, turning away from him.
"Actually everyone does, cursing is frowned upon by our society. It's degrading." Phil retaliated. Reluctantly, Dan turned towards him once more. His eyes widened. He's got that look on his face again, the one he does when he's trying to prove a point. It's odd, no one else I know does that. He looks so serious, so determined, like nothing else in the world matters. He's completely in the moment. It's kind of....hot.  The boy burst out laughing. So not Phil.
"It's not funny!" Phil Lester crossed his arms, a smile spreading across his face.
"Then why are you laughing?" Dan asked, stepping towards him.
"I-I'm not!" The boy chuckled.
"What's so funny, huh?" Dan playfully grabbed his arm, staring into his eyes.
Phil's eyes widened, but his expression remained the same. A few customers turned to look at the pair, who had momentarily forgotten they were surrounded by total strangers. Reluctantly, Dan let Phil's arm go.
"Sorry....." The boy murmured.
Phil giggled. "No, it's okay. It was kind of funny actually."
Dan nodded, picking up his drink.
"Right, wouldn't want to be late for seven hours of school." He groaned. Phil laughed. "Yup, come on, tough one. TO HISTORY WE GO!!!"
"Actually, I have mathematics first."
Dan stated as the pair walked out of the coffee shop and started down the street.

"I have to go to my locker, but I'll see you after class!" Phil called
