Selina's POV

I was not happy about the fact that I felt like skipping Capture The Flag but I did. What I did do was watch Percy fight off Clarisse who was being a jerk like always. He broke her magic wand or stick or what ever. That was awesome! Then we figured out that he was the son of Poseidon after he took out a hellhound!

WHICH IS AWESOME!
Now everyone will look at him instead of me. I do feel bad for him though. As much as it is not allowed, I stay with him in the Poseidon cabin because I feel lonely too. Annabeth won't talk to him that much because she is trying to figure the whole mission-thingy out.

I should be worrying about that too, but I am not. Until Percy and I got called in.

"Mr. D wants to see you two," Grover said, after we let him in, with a hint of worry.

"Why?"

"He wants to kill...I mean, I'd better let him tell you."

Nervously, I walked back to my cabin and got dressed. Then I followed, sure that we were in big trouble.

Since Percy and I aren't supposed to be alive, we have been waiting for summons to the Big House. Percy asked Grover if he wanted an umbrella. That may be needed.

"No," Grover said. "It never rains here unless we want it to."

I pointed at the storm, "I've been here to but what the heck it that, then. This isn't a normal storm."

He glanced uneasily at the sky, "It will pass over us. Bad weather always does."

I still thought that this was different. Everyone thought this was different. Everyone was a bit tense.  We walked up to the front porch of the Big House. Dionysus was at the pinochle table again. Chiron sat across for him in his famous fake wheelchair.

"Well, well," Dionysus said without looking up. "Our little celebrity. Oh, and how are you Selina?"

"I'm doing great. Is it the mission time?"

"Yes," Dionysus said finally looking up. "You may be excused.  That's all I had to tell you."
I remember when I was seven and I first heard about the mission. It went sort of like this,

I walked up to the Big House, very afraid I was in trouble, on my first week.

"Ah, Seth, you are here." Chiron explained to me what to do so I  went up to the attic.

The attic was full of old creepy stuff. Then there was a lady in the middle that was like a voodoo doll. She wore clothes like a Hippie. She was dead, for sure.

She opened her mouth,

I am the spirit of Delphi, speaker of the prophecies of Phoebus Apollo, slayer of the mighty Python. Approach, seeker, and ask.

"What is my destiny?"

Test will be taken.

With one that you may have mistaken.

You shall go west, and face the god who has turned.

You shall find what was stolen, and see it safely returned.

You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend.

And you shall fail to save what matters most, in the end.

Annabeth was in this mission for some reason. Chiron told me before I went up to the attic. So then I told Annabeth so now we have been waiting. Until now.

Percy will be our guide and there will be someone else who we don't like, who will be with us. After thinking about the memory, Percy came out like he had seen a ghost. I probably looked like that too when I came out.

"The prophecy is creepy, huh?"

He nodded in agreement.

"Hey, do you think that the part that says, Test will be taken then with one that you may have mistaken, is about an Ares child?"

Percy gasped.

"That must be it," Percy said.

We talked to Grover for a while about our mission. Then Grover brought up the thing about satyrs and underground places. They must still be looking for that god that is still missing. Then Grover decided that he would come along with us.

"All the way G-man." Percy turned to Chiron. "So where do we go? The Oracle just said to go west."

"The entrance to the Underworld is always in the west. It moves from age to age, just like Olympus. Right now, of course, it's in America."

"Where?"

Chiron was surprised. "I thought it was obvious enough. The entrance to the Underworld is in Los Angeles."

"Oh," Percy said. "Naturally. So we just get on a plane-"

What an idiot!

"No!" I shrieked. "Percy, what are you thinking? Have you ever been on a plane in your life?"

Percy shook his head, blushing.
"Percy, think," Chiron said. "You are the son of the Sea God. Your father's bitterest rival is Zeus, Lord of the Sky. You would be in Zeus's domain. You would never come down again alive."

Overhead, lightning crackled. Thunder boomed.

"Okay," Percy said. "So I'll travel overland."

"That's right," Chiron said. "Five companions may accompany you. Grover is one. Seth is one. The others have already volunteered."

"Gee," Percy said. "Who else would be stupid enough to volunteer for a quest like this?"
Annabeth became visible with a shimmer of air.

"I've been waiting for a long time for a quest, seaweed brain," she said, "Athena is no fan of Poseidon, but of you're going to save the world, I'm the best person to keep you from messing up."

"If you do say so yourself," Percy said. "I suppose you have a plan, wise girl?"

Annabeth's cheeks colored. "Do you want my help or not?"

"So," I started, "who else volunteered?"

Two people came in the distance. One was one of my friends from Athena, Isabella Woods.

The other was my doom. It was a son of Ares. Like I had guessed

"I guess I will take all the help I can get," Percy said.

The son of Ares was named Chris.

He was another jerk.

Greeeaat.

Just great.
