Q) Describe your character's relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

A) Elaine Callahan has a strained relationship with her mother, Daisy Callahan. Daisy is a vain woman, focused more on her vanity than her relationship with her daughter, and in turn that causes a rift to form between her and Elaine as well as her husband, Virgil. Because of the rift caused by Daisy's vanity, Virgil is a very absent father, only seeing his daughter for about an hour each night before she goes to bed and an hour in the morning before he goes to sleep with a new woman in a motel, or as he likes to call it "work". Elaine became independent at a young age, quickly learning how to feed herself while her father was being unfaithful and to walk herself to school while her mother peered into a mirror and attempted to stretch her wrinkles away for hours.
