Shadow Scales (A Dragons Tale)

Chapter 3: Growning up

Shadow the dragon was enjoying his day as the sun beat down on his back making him heat up his wings open up as he looks to the sky. "I can do it. I can fly" He says to himself as he starts flapping getting off the ground. "I'm doing it im actually doing it!" his smile of glee is shown as his mom looks at him. "Your doing an amazing job sweetie just keep flaping them wings. Your gonna be one strong dragon one day and that day starts today." She says with confidents as an arrow flies hitting shadows wing causing him to crash land bleeding a little. "ahhhhhh!!!" He screams in agony as the arrow piereced his right wing he lays on the hard ground as his breaths are slowing down and his eyes start shutting. His mother shakes him like mad "stay up stay up!" her cries are heard as she looks for the source of the shot and roars shooting fire out as it is felt from 20 yards out. Her anger is showing as her teeth are barred and she looks around looking trying to find it as a human walks up he looks worried as he backs from the mother "Im sorry I miss my target miss please let me see the dragon" The human looks at her with his eyes pleading. She looks at the human hitting him back as he limps back up and looks at her as the human eyes close and he passes out. "No one and i mean no one hurts my boy." Mirage said as she looks at shadow who is unconcious and nuzzles him licking. shadow wing bleeds as he moves a little "o o ow." he manages to get those words out as he opens his eyes a little but they slowly close again. Mirage shakes him "son? son? please awake." here wings drop in sorrow as she starts crying. "SHAAADOOOOW!!!" she screams as shadow covers his ears. "quiet down im fine. ow that hurt" he rubs his ears
