Baby stuff

Three months later...

"C'mon, Lex. Let's go." George whined, poking me to wake up. Today we were going to go pick out baby stuff for the baby. Even though I'm only about three months pregenant, we still want to get ready.

I groaned and stretched my arms out in front of me. "I don't wanna get up." I said, rolling back over to go back to sleep. But I guess George wasn't gonna put up with it because he picked me up bridal style. He then spun us around and we landed in a baby store. The building was quite small. The walls were painted a light blue with cute little white fluffy clouds.

The building was full of baby toys, furniture, and clothes. There was a bunch of customers walking through the isles, looking around for things they need or want.

George grabs a cart that was beside us and starts pushing it down an isle with cribs and other furniture.

I scan the cribs and pick out a pretty yellow one with white dots on it. George gets it down from the shelf and puts it in the cart.

We then move on to the bottles and pacifiers.

My eyes catch a red and golden pacifier that had cut little snitches and brooms on it.

I turn to George, who is preoccupied with staring at his wand.

"George. Look at it. Isn't it cute?" I ask as I held the pacifier up to his face.

"Yes yes. I see it." He laughs and takes it from my hand to examine it. He then puts it in the cart.

"You know, I think I like this bottle." I picked up a pretty blue bottle and put it into the cart with the other stuff.

I put my hands on my hips and survey the alnost full cart. "Well, I think we have enough."

George was rummaging through his pockets. "Yeah, well I don't think we have enough."

"Waddya mean? We have almost a full cart-."

"The cart is full but I don't think my pockets are." George looks wearily down at the money in his hands.

I snorted and smiled brightly at him. Bitten tug into my purse and pulled out my wallet.

"Yeah but I do. I haven't really needle to spend any of my money so...I saved it. Plus, with all the money from Sirius's...vault I have enough. That's how I paid for the apartment." I explained.

"Oh." Was all George said. I could tell he didn't want to talk about Sirius with me. Afraid that I'll break down and cry or something.

I followed George up to the front and stood in line, waiting to be checked out. Finally, it was our turn. The checkout went smoothly and in a few minutes we were back home.

Apparently, there was another room that I didn't know about. It was the same size as mine and George's room. Which wasn't very big. The walls were a pretty light shade of gray. There was a huge window in it, allowing the sunlight to bright up the whole room. George had assembled the crib and placed it against the wall across from the window.

I had read in this book that Molly gave me last month called Having a Baby 101 that when you have a baby and you put it in the crib that you shouldn't leave anything in the crib like a blanket or a pillow because it might suffocate the baby. That book has been like my Bible for the past month. Without that book, I might kill the baby. I'm so thankful Molly had given me that book.

In the baby's room, there's a wooden dresser in the corner, a little nightstand beside the crib, and in the corner there's the changing bed.

It looks really nice. I just can't wait for the baby to be here!
