"I don't know Ash..."I reply. This is one hell of a night.

"Hannah told us to go to the library. I think we should listen to her." Ash stutters.

"Okay. If you think so," I reply. She must be insane but I trust her completely. I readjust my glasses before I close the old wooden ouija board and set it back in the box. Ash hands me the pointer that had previously taken a leap for the floor. I close the lid to the box and slide it under the table.

We both let out an uneasy breath as we enter the long dark eerie hallway that leads to the library.

It's cold. Colder than the old candle lit table in the vacant living room. An unpleasant smell trapped, circulating around the hall.

"Did u fart?" I tease. She glares at me with a sarcastic grin.

      "Ew, Chris," she grumbles.

It's cute when she's annoyed. I turn away with a smile. We both continue down the hall as I lead the way with my flashlight.

"Do you think we went too far?" She says, breaking the silence.

"What?" I ask, briefly glancing at her. We continue walking down the hall.

"Do you think we went to far with Josh?" She clarifies. She looks back at me with raised eyebrows. I open my mouth to speak but stop, thinking of the right thing to say. I notice this makes her uneasy and she turns away.

"It's Josh. I'm sure he's fine," I finally say. This comforts her somewhat.

"Yeah, I guess. You know him better than I do. I just feel so bad for him, with Beth and Hannah and all. It must be so hard," she adds.

"Yeah. I can't even imagine," I reply. Feeling that this is too heavy of a moment, I change the subject. "So... Great weather huh?"

"Yeah. Wonderful," she says sarcastically. She laughs. I love it when she laughs. I blush.

"I hope we get the power working soon," I say with a shudder. I hit my flashlight as it begins to flicker. God, I hope it doesn't go out.

"Ugh. Yeah. It really does make the trip less fun," she grumbles.

"On the bright side, it makes it kind of exciting," I add. She agrees but I can see she doesn't necessarily like the fact she does.

As we continue walking I think I can spot the library ahead.

"Good luck trying to read anything in the dark," I joke. She doesn't respond. Instead she begins looking around. "What are we supposed to be doing in here, anyway?" I ask, realizing that I didn't know what we were here for.

"I don't know. But I'm hoping I'll know when I see it," she replies. Ash is smart. She'll figure it out. She holds her hand out and I pass her my flashlight. She begins to inspect the room. I follow.

"See anything?" I ask.

"Nope."

There's a pause. I watch her intently as she searches.

"What are you even looking for?" I ask.

"I don't know!" She exclaims. She stops, looking at a particular bookshelf.

"What?" I say, stepping closer to her.

"Look. Do you see that?behind the books," she replies, pointing. I see something there. We both pull the books off the shelf. "Is that a button?"

"I think so," I reply, in amazement.

"Should we press it?" Ash asks, stepping close to it.

"I mean, I guess."

Ashley reaches out and presses the button. A clicking sound begins and something moves. A secret entrance to somewhere.

"Holy crap! Panel opens... Head explodes," I say, putting on a voice.

"This is insane. It's like we're in a movie," Ashley says, shining the light inside.

"A rom com, I hope," I tease.

"We should go in right?" Ash asks, slightly afraid but very intrigued.

"I guess. Kinda hard not to," I conclude.

"Okay..."
