2 days before the outbreak

I open my eyes. I slept on my back. I'm staring at the ceiling. I hear my dad talking to my mom.

I look at my mom to see her rocking back and forth in her seat.

She silently says "I'm sorry" like before at the shop.

"Is she going to be OK?" More awake now I turn to my brother asking my dad presumingly about my mom.

My dad doesn't answer him.

I look out the window to realise we are a few minutes away from home.

As I rub my eyes to get rid of all the rubbish in my eyes "Wha..what's going on-"

"LOOK OUT!"

Crash!

My eyes shutter.

Open, close, open, close.

This happens for a while.

A few minutes maybe.

Then my eyes start to adjust to the scene.

I move my head to the side, Will is unconscious.

"Will! Will!" I shout to him, he doesn't wake up.

Is he dead?

I look down at my seatbelt, I unbuckle it and move over to Will shaking him viciously.

Once I thought all hope was lost I hear a familiar sound,

"Are you OK?" Will wakes up.

"I'm fine- I think, are you?" I ask him concerned.

"Yes but, my leg- it's stuck under the chair in front do you think you can help get it out?" He asks me.

"Erm yes let me think" I say to myself hoping for an idea to pop into my head of how to get out. My door was blocked as the car fell upside down and my door was at the bottom.

Will's door.

"I need to get through your door to get out."

"OK, climb over" he says in disbelief.

While I climb over Will, I suddenly remember, where's mom and dad? I look at their seats where they have been sitting at- gone.

They wouldn't have left us, would they?

I pull the door open and climb out of Will's side.

I jump down from the car and remember to bend my knees or it would hurt like hell.

"Ouch!"

Too late.

I take a step back and look at the car, it was a wreck.

The driver's door was hanging off by a thread and all the windows were smashed, it looked like little crystals as it sparkles in the sun.

My eyes jolt to the window which was being moved down by Will.

"Try and push the car back on to it's wheels." Will tells me.

I go to the other side and with all my might I push the car.

The car rocks but it won't budge.
