A book. It all started with a book, that came from a beam of light. Our ancestors found it 199 years ago. It showed a story, one none of our kind knows about, a secret which was known to change our world, our ways, and our lives.
It was about a tale, which showed the worlds past and future. It started with the Age of the Dinosaurs. The universe was angry. Angry that they did not live in peace, nor in harmony. To it the only answer was destruction.
It sent a ball of light that wiped out all life. For the story of the future, it said the sun would not give light to fill the world, but it shall bring night during day. No light ever to be seen. In two hundred years there would be darkness. There would be clouds in the sky but not as you and I know of, but as clouds of smoke and ashes from destruction, from fire, from the screams of the people. Darkness would rule our world.
Our ancestors took this as a joke. So as a result they burned the book until it became nothing but ashes and dust.
But there was something that they didn't know.
How do I know about this?
Then don't stop reading this...

My name is Christina, Christina Greene. I was born on July 27, 1996 in some part of Africa not known to many people. My mother was a housewife, so she stayed at home to take care of me and my house. My dad is a general, he fights for the U.S. I was raised in Africa for 2 years, until my mother disappeared, some say she died of poison, some say she hated my dad and abandoned us, others said she was murdered... After I turned 6, my dad became rich after becoming a general in America.

A few weeks later after we moved to Washington DC, he burned every picture and memory of my mother. Every remaining piece of her in my memory gone. I was really young so I never really knew much about my mother.

After a few years, 3 days before my birthday. My father came up and announced that he was getting married with another woman he met at a police station. Something about her killing her boyfriend for cheating on her... Anyways, I cried for days how could he do this. 1. He burns every single memory and photo of her and 2. He marries another woman without even asking me how I would feel about his decision.

July 27th, 2012

Today is my sixteenth birthday, and the 4th Marriage Anniversary. So, I got up early to go do the housework so I could celebrate with my friends later. So, I got up at 5:00 A.M, But as I got up and put my feet on the solid, cold ground. It felt like cold snow.

At 8:02 I had finished all my chores and was ready to go celebrate my birth day.
I took my white shirt that had holes near the shoulders, with brown leather jeans and a leather jacket. I put on my clothes, and walked over to my mini dresser a box from a dress shop (Ruby) I put on blood red lipstick and a little mascara. Man, no wonder Ruby always questioned my look and lectured me about my choice of clothing. My red hair was always tied up, I never saw my hair down other than showers. Heck, let's just try it for once. I slowly untied my hair still, looking at the mirror, staring at what would change about me.

My hair fell on my shoulders, I felt the soft and silkiness on my shoulders where the shirt was opened, and I slowly touched my scar on top of my right eye. I have no idea how I got it. I noticed a small little notebook on my bed. It had a cover made of brown leather, a strip of dark brown leather that was stitched on the side of the notebook, and there were flower designs on the spine that were clearly drawn by a person who was great at drawing.

On the bottom right corner there were initials that were written in gold. R.A.G. I wondered what or who R.A.G was.I slid my fingers across the spine. Feeling the designs, and empty spaces, across the cover and the initials. It reminded me of something. It reminded me of someone and whoever left it here was no mistake they want me to read it. Every last word.

I slowly slid my fingers over to the loose strip of leather slowly opening it, asking myself if it was the right thing to do. I opened to the first page and started reading....
