Chapter 1 ♡ Just Getting Started
Emma's POV ;
The movers truck pulled into the front of the new house. The movers quickly shuffling togather our belongings. "Emma Irene Fox, get off your phone and come help unpack!" My mothers voice called from the doorstep of the house. I mumbled from where I was sitting inside our car, locking my iPhone I opened the door and walked up to the modest split level house.
As I walked in my mom stuffed my old, chipped skateboard into my hands, "Don't use this inside it could ruin the hard wood floors." She smiled at me with that degrading look and continued unpacking a box of photos into my hand.
"But Mom!" I protested, "Dad let me skate inside.."
She stopped what she was doing to look me straight in the eye, "Your fathers not here anymore sweetie and you will be following my rules."
"Okay."
The house was small but had spacious rooms, I picked the room farthest from my moms. A decent sized room with a window looking out to the houses across the street. I called the movers and told them to place the boxs' labled 'Emma' in my room.
I sat down on the twin sized bed and opened the first box, it was full or random ornaments and decor I used to have and in the bottom sketchbooks full of drawings from when I was younger. I put the box by the door, mom would have more use of those things. The other boxes where mostly clothes, the last box stuffed with photographs. I picked one up; a smiling family stared blankly back. My dad, mom, me and my older brother were at a picnic. I looked about thirteen not long ago, before my parents divorce.
I hadn't seen my older brother, Harry since the divorce. He went of the university and I guess never really came back.
Pulling on a pair of highwaisted shorts and and a cute black crop top. I threw my sandy blonde hair into a messy bun, grabbed my black vans and headed down the staircase. I took my skateboard and opened the door.
"Where do your going young lady?" My mom stood at the kitchen door here hands on her hips. She shook her finger at me.
"I just wanted to checkout the neighborhood mom. It's my first day in Melbourne I wanna see what its like." I rolled my eyes.
"Okay, well be safe and try to be social if you see anyone. Its only the first week of summer I don't want you to be bored." she smiled, sudden mood change. "Oh, and don't drink or smoke." Nevermind.
Beau's POV ;
The sunlight streaked in from the window shining into my eyes, "For fucks sake." I mumbled, pulling my covers over my face.
"SURPRISE!"
I screamed rolled over tumbling to the floor in a whirl of blankets. I looked up Luke stood about me smiling at me while holding his iPhone. "and that my friends is how to wake Beau up in the morning." he snickered to the camera.
"Luke." I shouted half asleep. I rubbed my face with my hands tiredly. He laughed, "aww sorry baby Beau." He nudged me with his foot, "C'mon its saturday get up." he offered me his hand.
I took it and pulled him down with me. "Hey!" he squealed. I got on top of him wrapping my legs around his waist I grinded against him. "Eww geh' uff meh." he said muffled as I stuffed a pillow in his face laughing.
"BEAU! GET OFF YOUR BROTHER!" Gina screamed from the hallway.
"YES MOM!" I stood up kicking Luke as I did. "So why did you wake me up again?" I smiled sitting down on my bed again. Luke adjusted his wrinkled top, "Look out the window." I turned and moved the curtain to the side. Across the street moving trucks buzzed in the driveway of the house. "Ahh and?" I asked giving Luke a questionable look. "I don't know, I thought it would be fun to mess with them for a new Youtube video or something." he shrugged. I gave him a soft punch in the shoulder, "Last time we messed with neighbors they called the fucking cops." I smiled.
Mom sat in the living room watching the daily news, "Mom wheres Jai?" Luke asked, taking a muffin from the counter and stuffing it into his mouth. "He went to Daniels house." she muttered looking around for the TV remote. "Third cushion on the couch." I said, she smiled flipping the cushion over and picking up the remote.
I wasn't that hungry so I went to my bedroom to get dressed. I sighed as I walked in, my room was a mess but it was always like that because I didn't bother cleaning it. Opening my dresser I picked a pair of plain skinny jeans and a tribal patterned tank top. I removed my top followed by my pajama pants.
A loud crash sounded from the front lawn.
"What the fuck!" I yeling running out to the front yard in my boxers. Skip, James and Jai stepped out from my car which they had crashed into the fence. "Fuck you!" I stuck my middle fingers at them, "How'd you get my car?!" I yelled. "Mom gave me keys." Jai shook them at me, "Its just a small dent." he brushed my shoulder as he walked pass me into the house.
Skip smiled at me, "I see you have new neighbors ahah." I grumbled in repsonse, "By the way, nice underwear." he smacked my arse before walking after Jai, James followed.
"Ugh!" I moaned walking up to inspect the dent, the paint had chip away from the impact. I traced my fingers over my poor cars wound.
I heard yelling from across the street and looked up as a teenage looking girl stormed out of the house skateboard in hand. She had light tan skin and long blonde hair, she seamed mad or upset. So that was our new neighbor, I cheekily chuckled to myself. "We could pull some good jokes on her."
I stared at her as she skated down the road she glanced back at me staring. Why was she looking at me weirdly? "Shit." I mouthed remembering I was in boxers I ran back to the house.
