Edd Looks out of the window of his dorm room. Seeing a layer of snow accumulate over a mere night baffled him.
Yes It was December, and it was expected to cover the soil and dead grass that lay underneath. It just always shocked him how it seemed to come out of nowhere. Edd loved snow, and the Holidays that usually came with it.
He seemed to lose his train of thought as he heard his door slam open and Eddy sauntered in covered in mush and making a mess.
"EDDY! Brush yourself off, I won't clean up your messes forever!"
He sighs and grabs the mop, cleaning up after his codependent friend. At least the Dorm manager let him room with his friend. He didn't have to hide his secret around Eddy.
Ed was attending the same college as well, but for Art. Edd loves him, but because of certain circumstances (One being he was a load more messy than Eddy) Edd chose to room with his other long-time best friend.
"Quit your bitchin, sockhead. Wear something warm. You got most of your home work done? You know how you get after these visits. I got you a Milky Way bar today. And I transferred more songs onto your Ipod to listen to while your there. Do you have boo-"
"Eddy! I swear you're starting to Act like a mother! That's all fine. Yes my homework is all done. You know better. I'm a week-if not more- ahead in all of my classes. Maybe I should be asking YOU if you finished your homework! Let's go. I don't want to be late."
Edd pulled a beanie onto his head. He always wore it, just out of habit. But now, it became a necessity to hide his secret. Eddy knew the reason, he couldn't bear to see the look on Ed's face when he knew the truth. But he would have to tell him eventually.
The two boys got ready and started to head out the door, Double D first. He took a step forward as he had his head turned talking to Eddy and slammed into an innocent bystander that was built like a brick wall. "M-my apologies!" He gazed up into emerald green eyes.
"It's ok Double Dork. Lemme help you up." He took the thin hand and gave a generous pull that flung Edd straight into his chest. "Whoops. You're a lot lighter than I thought you were. Are you guys going to grab something to eat? You look like you need it." Kevin chuckles heartily.
"It's none of your business where we're going to Shovel Chin! What's it to you anyways?! I outta-"
"Eddy! Cease this! It's alright Kevin. We have plans on going elsewhere."
"In this weather? Are you sure you trust this nucklehead driving? Ha. Well I'll see you later guys. We should chill sometime, Edd."
Edd waved goodbye and catches his breath. Ever since they were children Kevin had his eye. But the thought was ridiculous. Kevin would never go for a guy like him- even if he liked men. It wasn't the right time to pursue a relationship anyways. It was too late.
