As the leader of your army, it was your priority to get to know everyone there, or at least you thought it was. Most of them, you'd fought side by side with, but getting to know someone like that isn't fair to the person. As you'd confirmed, everyone becomes a different person on the battlefield.

So today, you'd decided you would talk to one of the most elusive people in camp: Niles. Sure, he'd gained a reputation for having, ahem, creative language, and he was also said to be the one to give out the best insults, so sure, he was told to have a sharp tongue. But it's not like he was exactly social. It's also been said he tries to keep people at a distance, even using said tongue to keep them at bay. Was that going to stop you? No, not at all.

You approached the white haired archer, ignoring the rumors that had spread around about him and deciding to label him yourself once you got to know him. It was nighttime, and of course the only rumor you decided to keep in mind was about him doing large amounts of stargazing. It turned out to be true.

He was laying in an empty expanse of grass, probably staring at the starlit skies, maybe even sleeping, but as you approached, he flinched, sensing another presence nearby.

"You're naughty coming to see me at this time of night, what will people think?" Niles asked, sitting up and giving you an eerie smile.

"...Uh, I'm sure everyone's asleep and all... I just came to get to know you. This is the only confirmed location and time anyone is able to see you, besides being with Leo and-" You started, blushing slightly, but he cut you off.

"That precious look on your face, that's all I needed. Say no more, I get what you're trying to say, it's just nice to tease Leo's sister and get away with it. Well unless you go and tell Camilla on me. Then I'll be punished," he remarked.

"I uh... I don't think I'll need to tell Camilla about this. To tell the truth, I came to see if the rumors were true," you answered.

"Rumors eh? Do tell what's spreading around about me," Niles said.

"Well they say you're language is pretty vulgar... And you like to look at the stars," You replied.

"Ohoho! Well They didn't lie to say the least. Why don't you take a seat, maybe look at the stars for a bit with me while we chat."

You shrugged. It wouldn't kill you, would it? You plopped onto the ground near him and looked up at the night sky. There were thousands of white specks everywhere, like glowing snowflakes had frozen in time above.

"Any suitable topics ____? Because I can think of plenty. Or did you want gossip on lord Leo?" He asked.

"No no, I just want to know more about you. We've never talked, and I always take the time to get to know people before anyone labels them for me."

"So you don't automatically judge people on what you hear? Don't you even become a little expectant of certain behaviors when you hear something about that person?"

"Well... I guess you're right. But some people deserve better judgement... Like Benny! He's actually a total cinnamon roll even though everyone thinks he's scary."

Niles Shrugged. "So you wanted to talk? Let's talk."
