"I'm no good Ansley."

It was pouring rain, the dark clouds coming in, signaling a storm was on its way. Even with the pneumonia catching weather, Ansley Yazzie still stood outside of Sam Uley's house, face to face with the teenager who held a cold expression while hers held pain and confusion.

He was breaking up with her.

After everything they had been through. After relentlessly pursuing her. After he told her he loved her. After she gave herself to him. Here he was, Sam Uley, in all his glory, ending there relationship. From the moment they kissed Ansley couldn't picture herself with with anyone else.

"But I don't - Sam, I don't understand." Her eyes swelled up with tears.
"You need to get out of here Ansley. We're done."

"You said, you that that you loved me-"
"I lied!" He snapped before letting out a sigh. "Can't you see that? I used you! I got what wanted. I don't want anything else."

Sam was destroying her. Every park of her that made her kind hearted and sweet. Compassionate. Empathic. It was diminishing with every heartbreaking word. His fist clenched as he try to control his anger. He didn't want to let Ansley go, but Old Quil explained why it was best. So he did as he was told.

"Tell me, Sam. I want to here you say it." Ansley made a final attempt to get through to him.

The girl so desperately wanted this all to be some cruel sick joke. Sam wouldn't even look at her for crying out loud.

It's April. This has to be a late April fools joke. She tried to convince herself.

"Look me and my eyes and..Tell me you don't love me." Her voice cracked. "Tell me and I'll go."
"I don't love you." He kept his voice flat before looking at her. "I never loved you."

It wasn't until he looked into her heart broken face that he knew he fucked up.

From the moment his hard eyes connected with her sad ones, time stood still. Did everything in the world suddenly make sense. The world around him, once filled with dark sky all gray and cloudy, suddenly seemed so much brighter. Fulfilling. Everything he could ever ask for was right in front of him.

With a sad smile, she mouthed 'okay', tears flowing freely down her face. Sam, still in shock, couldn't find the words to speak. Mouth slightly ajar all he could do was watch as Ansley walked to her car never looking back pulling off almost immediately.

Sam was stuck, unable to move as the reality of what just happened hit me.

He had just imprinted on the same person he just broke.
