Chapter 3

Zoey POV

When he brought my hand up to his lips I swear I could feel sparks. He left his lips on my hand a little longer than he needed to and he looked up into my eyes. When he finally let go of my hand I felt cold.

"Nice to meet you." He said in his husky, manly voice that made me go weak at the knees. "Nice to meet you" I said a little breathlessly. I hope he didn't notice.

Through out class I was having a hard time concentrating because he was sitting right there, especially when his elbow brushed against mine. I could feel sparks every time.

"O.k class" said our teacher "you will all be doing a project on how different emotions can be conveyed and how they can affect your life. You will have a month and you will also be partners."

My head snapped up. I didn't want a partner. I didn't want people over at my house while my brothers were home."Your partners will be the other person at your table. I suggest you get together to work on your project soon."

"So do you want to come to my house?" I asked Jake. "Um..sure. Address?" I wrote it down on a piece of paper along with my phone number. "See you at 4." I said and left the classroom with out another word eager to get away from the boy who would always make me lose focus.

Jake POV

The rest of school past quickly probably because I was day dreaming about Zoey. I still smile when I think about how breathless she sounded when I kissed her hand. "I wonder what she'll sound like after I .... Do not finish that thought!" I told my wolf. Once he starts I won't be able to stop him.

Plus I had to focus while I drove, not thinking about how she would look in my room. With the maroon sheets wrapped around her. Her body... STOP!! I need to drive" I told my wolf.

All of these thoughts were swimming trough my mind as I parked in her drive way and walked up to her door. She was only a ten minute walk from my house I realized as I looked around. That made my wolf happy that his mate was close by.

My thoughts were pushed aside when Zoey opened the door. I felt my eyes darken as I look at her in a tight blood red tank top and black softy shorts.

"Dead puppys, dead puppys, dead puppys..." I chanted over and over in my head as I walked up to her room behind her trying to keep my eyes from wandering to her backside.

When she walked into her room I was surprised to see band posters all over the walls. "Nice room" I said as I sat down on her bed. "I try" she said in that angelic voice of hers as she sat next to me.

"Now lets get to work." She said as she pulled out her laptop and we got to work.

An hour later we had done all of our research. I did most of the note taking so I could keep my mind of of her outfit. " So Jake want to play a truth or dare?"

"Sure." I said as I finished writing down the last sentence. "Truth or dare" she said while biting her lip. "Dare" I said looking her in the eye to keep from looking at her lip. "I dare you to call me miss for the rest of today and all of tomorrow." She said smirking at my astonished face. " Fine miss. Truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"Are you virgin?" I said with a straight face.

"A little personal but yes I am." I let out a little sigh of relief. If anyone have touched her in the way only her mate should I would have killed that guy. "Truth or dare?" She said braking my train of thought. "Truth."

"Are you attracted to me?" My eyes nearly pop out of my head. "No!" I said almost as soon as she finished asking the question, looking at her bed sheets which had become quite interesting.

"Really?" She said and smirked asks I nodded my head as fast as possible. "Well I have a bet for you. It a competition. Who ever get the other one to love them first wins. Unless you really are attracted to me?"

I was not going to admit I was really attracted to her so I agreed to the bet. "Shake on it." She said sticking her hand out. I grabbed it and pulled her onto my lap. I smirked at her surprised face. I leaned down and put my lips right next to her ear and smiled when I heard her breath get caught in her throat.

"I never lose"
