It Was Always You

"Congratulations Zara! Hope you will have a great life ahead! I-I won't say that I'm exactly happy for you though...because I" Aaron stuttered, his voice cracked.
"Don't... Just-just don't you dare say anything more than this!" Screamed Zara, her eyes watering.
"You aren't happy!" He stated trying to convince her.
"Oh you're mistaken, I was never happier! I love Harry...more than anything!" She declared.
"Your eyes tell another story though...you don't have to do this!" He pleaded, trying to convince her...almost begging.
"Hope to see you in the wedding!" She turned away and walked out the door.
The air outside was chilly and since it was breezy, it caused the curtains to fly high and the windchimes to make sounds vigoursly. Some dry leaves flew inside as Aaron was now on his knees, his head stuck to the floor, his hands shielding his eyes as a painful cry escaped from his throat. His heart ached and though he had everything in his house, he felt like he was empty within.
"I won't come! I can't!" He cried.
Zara turned around, pained to see him like this. This was not Aaron everybody knew and loved. This boy here was a mess and distorted.
"A-Aaron...don't do this to yourself!" Her voice stammered.
"Don't go..." more pain escaped through his lips and echoed in the entire room. Zara's chest was now very heavy. She didn't think it would be so difficult.
"It is too late!" She whispered but it was very clearly audible to Aaron.
"No, it isn't. Trust me!"
"Trust you? No Aaron Winters! It is you who is the cause of all this misery. You invited this. Dare you try to stop me now! You didn't care back then...stop acting like you do now! It-It was always you, goddamn it!" She screamed, scaring her own self with the intensity in which she spoke and how heat and hatred emitted her body. This wasn't her. Aaron flinched at her voice and he looked up to see her storm out of the house angrily.
