This is inspired by Pasts and Secrets by Silvermistanimelover. I really liked the fic, and I wanted more of its kind. Pairings: Not too sure if I have the time to, but I'll try to write one or two.
Note: All the male Hetalians are genderbended. Because nyos need more love. Contains OCs of the rest of the world left unHetaliased. I do not own Hetalia. Nor do I own the diary entries, except the ones for the OCs.
Chapter 1
It was a normal world meeting. America was declaring herself the heroine and proposing ridiculous plans to tackle the issue of the day-climate change. England was shooting down every plan of America's; Japan was avidly taking notes; Greece was sleeping and the rest of the room was in chaos. Germany was about 10 seconds away from blowing a gasket when a glowing circle opened in the middle of the conference table.
"Nations of the world,"a strong, powerful voice rang through the room. Countries gasped; Italy and Chaira looked close to tears.
"How?"China gasped, unable to believe that the Roman Empire was speaking to her again.
"You will know. First, I would like to apologise to my grandchildren, Felicianaand Chaira, for leaving them when they were still young.
"Secondly, I would like to explain why we are here. Some of-"
"Hey!You can't hog the screen all to yourself!"Rome was shoved aside to be replaced by Ancient Germania. The nations glanced at each other. Even the Ancients liked to argue...
"Greetings. What this idiot has been trying to say is that we, the ancients, have noticed that many of you suffer in silence, and aim to fix that now."
A flash of light, and a goodly-sized book fell on the had a leather cover, light brown, simple with a title: Excerpts of the World's Diaries.
Everyone in the room realised what was going to happen at of protest rose up from many nations.
"Bloody hell! No way!"
"Walau! Why must we do this?"*
"Tôi đồng ý với Singapore"*
" Please, be quiet, my children," a soft, caring motherly voice said.
"M-mother?" Egypt gasped, trembling.
"My daughter, know hat I love you and watch over you...Always..."
"And I you, my kóri..." Ancient Greece spoke kindly, but in her voice was an undertone of a , for once attentive and alert, looked ready to cry with joy at the sound of it.
"Sorry... But what's this about having our diaries read out to the whole world?"Turkey demanded.
"Well, we thought that, in order to prevent another world war from breaking out, you all needed to get to know each other a little better. Thus, this came up,"Rome replied.
"Why the hell do we have to do this? Fuck, dammit!" Chaira shouted in annoyance. She did not need her diary-or rather, journal read out to the whole freaking world!
"Sorry, everyone, but this is one of the only ways to help thought about other ways, like truth serum or showing all your memories, but we'd thought you'd prefer this," Rome replied.
"Ja. Sorry, especially to Deutschland and PreuBen, but this is for the best."
"Vati?!" Prussia cried out in shock.
"So that's him?"Germany whispered to Prussia, who nodded, looking elated.
"Oh, and one last of you are trapped in this building until you finish the book."
"WHAT?!" was the loud response by 99% of the room.
"Well, we have to go had only a short time to talk to you, so bye!"With that, the circle entire room was silent for 5 seconds before muttering started up all over the room.
Notes:*Walau:An extremely rude term for 'my father' in Singapore. I'm Singaporean, so I know the slang used.
*Tôi đồng ý với Singapore: I agree with Singapore. Poor Laos, she never gets noticed by the rest of the world, so I thought of letting her say something.
