After she got a divorce from an actor Mel Ferrer, she decided to retire while she was on top. She would appear on the silver screen.
On 1988 she became a special ambassador to the United Nation UNICEF fund helping children in Latin America and Africa.
She was named in People's magazine as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world.
Her last film she worked in was Always in 1989.
