The little girl struggled in her attempt to break free from thick ropes that held her tight to a simple wooden chair. She watched as the sun went down from outside the small window. It was hours until she heard footsteps outside the door. The girl hoped that it would be someone to save her. Soon, the sound of those footsteps faded away, and she lost hope. Moments later, the sound of footsteps returned, and she prayed that she would be saved. The door burst open and a tall, blonde lady appeared. The woman took one glance at the girl and smiled. She opened her mouth to say something, but quickly closed it, as if she werent supposed to make noise. The little girl turned her head, and as the woman came closer, the girls eyes grew bigger. The blonde lady untied the ropes, and hugged the girl as tightly as she could. The girl closed her eyes, as tears of joy flooded her face.

"Mother..." She whispered.

Just as the two were about to turn around and leave, the sound of footsteps came back.

"Well, hello." A big, deep, voice said aloud.

The girl's mother gasped, but before anybody could say anything else, there was the sound of a gunshot.

More tears spilled down the girls face, but these weren't tears of joy.

"Mother..." She whispered again.
