RECAP

"If only Bonnie could see me now," I muttered. (a/n: My friend Madison was jealous of me because I got to ride in a wheelchair when I had surgery on my foot. She's always wanted to ride one, and that's the reference.)

We rolled down the hallway as I was hoping Finnick and Austin forgot what we were talking about before. Unfortunatly, they remembered.

"So, Zuri," Finnick stated, "What's the secret that you've kept from us for a long time?"

END OF RECAP

"Damn. I thought you forgot," I murmured. Austin looked down at me.

"Well, if it makes you feel better, I forgot about it completely," He comforted. Finnick rolled his eyes.

"Well, anyway," Finnick said, "what's the secret!'

I looked at him. I don't wanna tell him. Either of them, for that matter. I sighed. "Promise you won't tell?" They held up three fingers, the girl scouts symbol, and both said they promised. I sighed again. "Remember how you said Bonnie and you were planning to ask me out?" Austin nodded. "And how you said you never got a chance to tell your feelings to me and that's why you got mad?" Finnick nodded. "Well, to be honest," I hesitated. "I knew that Bonnie was planning that and you had feelings for me. It was kinda obvious with Finnick, but it took me a week to figure out what Bonnie was talking to you about. I was gonna tell you, Austin, that you really didn't need Bonnie's help to ask me out, but Bonnie told me not to ruin it for you.

"And she didn't want me to tell you, Finnick, because she cared too much about you, and she knew that you had feelings for me, and not her. She likes you, still, and you haven't noticed." I looked down at my hands. "In fact, I had a small crush during the month of Bonnie's plan. But it was small, not like Bonnie's though." I looked up at Austin. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I would've, and you know I would, too. But Bonnie didn't want me too." I looked over at Finnick. "Bonnie really wants to go out with you, and you've never realized it." I looked down at my hands again, wanting the conversation to end there. But, unfortunately, it didn't.

"What do you mean you knew?" Austin and Finnick questioned.

"Well, with you, Finnick, it was kinda obvious, because your emotions are almost so easily readable. So, it's not to figure out your feelings for someone. With you, Austin, I really didn't have a clue for months before Bonnie had that plan that you liked me. It wasn't until the first week of her plan that I figured it out. I told Bonnie to find out if I should tell you, but she said not to." I looked up at their faces. Austin's was surprised, a little mad, and a little happy. Finnick's was surprised and pissed. I looked down at my hands. "Just roll me back to the room."

We didn't say a word the rest of the way back. Let me rephrase that, I didn't say a word. Austin and Finnick, on the other hand, were talking up a storm. They were talking about they can never trust me again because I didn't tell them. I did want to tell them but Bonnie wouldn't let me. They were talking about how they're letting me decide who to marry. It was their decision to have me choose, not mine. They were talking about how Zoro is a complete jackass. I agree, 100%.

We finally made it back to the room, and Austin and Finnick began helping me out of my chair. I shaked my head no and they stopped. We waited for Dr. Love or Dr. Snape to come in.

We waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And waited. And then Dr. Love walked in with the results of the X-Rays.

He put the first one up, my left leg. "As you can see, there is really nothing wrong with her left leg." He put up the right leg. "Nor with this one. I recommend that you take some physical therapy because of your joints." He turned to my mom. "Has Zuri have a history of joint pain?" My mother nodded. "Did she play any sports?" She nodded again.

"What does that mean?" Mom asked, worried.

"It's really nothing. But stretching actually tightens the muscles, rather than relax them. She probably has joint problems because of stretching. But some physical therapy will help." He moved on to my arms. "Her left arm is fractured here. Her right arm didn't take as much damage. But we're going to put a cast on her left arm to fix the fracture." He moved onto my back. "There's nothing wrong with her spine at all, nor her ribs." He turns to Finnick. "You're lucky that these injuries aren't serious." He turns back to Mom. "We're putting her on some pain killers for the next 2 weeks. She'll take them twice a day, one in the morning and one at night. But, while on the medicine, do not take over the counter pain medicine. Now, Zuri, we're now going to go put your cast on. Would you like to take someone with you?" I quietly said no, and he wheeled me out of the room.

I really didn't feel like talking. Everything after Dr. Love wheeling me out of the room is a blur. I think I fell asleep in Austin's shoulder last night, because I woke up with him next to me.

"Good morning, sleepy head. What's the plan, stan?"
