A/N: I am so so sorry to anyone who reads this book. I really just could not write to save my life, but i finally overcame that and now I've stayed up till 11:37pm writing this for you lovely people instead of doing my homeork, or sleeping, or doing something fun, like sleeping. If you could not tell I am tired right now, really really tired. Well i still did my best and i think this is the longest like part i haver ever written and it may not seem that long, but its long for me so suck it. The Picture is of Ryder by the way. Umm please please please please comment, It'll make my day, or night I guess. If I took about three hours out of my very needed sleeping time to write this for you you can take 5 uneeded seconds out of your being awake time to comment. <3 you guys! Now onward to the story!! (da da da DAAAA!!)

Ryder’s POV
I had just left my best friend Carters house and I threw my book bag into my beat up truck. It was a really old Ford pickup, and I couldn’t exactly tell whether it had been blue or gray in its prime. The rust had eaten most of it away. I hopped up into the truck bed and yanked the door shut. I tuned my radio to a rock station, cranked my windows down, and started driving back towards my house. I got about 10 miles away from Carter’s house before I saw smoke rising from the hood of my car.
“Come on, please don’t do this. Come on!” The truck started to shake beneath me. “Come on! Not today, please!” When my truck really started to shudder, I pulled over to the side of the road and stopped. I got out of the car and lifted the hood of my car. I wasn’t really a car expert, but it seemed like I had a blown head gasket. That wasn’t a side-of-the-road repair. I got back into my car and grabbed my phone. I flipped open my outdated black Motorola Razor. The ‘Low Battery’ sign was already flashing on the screen. I knew I only had time to make one phone call before it died.
“Shit!” I said before dialing a number that I knew I would regret.
“Bring, Bring, Bring. What the hell do you want boy?” my dad slurred.
“Um Dad? My car broke down in the middle of the road.” I replied.
“So? What can I do about that?”
“Well, I need someone to come pick me up.”
“And you thought that I would take time out of my busy schedule to pick a piece of shit like you off the road? Well you were sadly mistaken!” The dial tone sounded in my ear. My dad had hung up on me, just like that.
“Asshole!” I muttered, before throwing my phone back into my truck. I heard the happy little tone, telling me my only form of communication was lost. I looked up and down the road, but no cars had passed by. At this moment, I really hate living in a small town. I sighed, grabbed my backpack and my phone from the car, locked my truck, as if anybody would really want to steal it, and started walking back in the direction of Carter’s house. It was closer and more pleasant than my apartment at the current moment. I slung my backpack over my shoulder, and started dreading the long walk back.
Carter’s POV
I was lying in my bed, listening to Owl City on my iPod, when I heard the knock at the door. I looked at my alarm clock next to my bed. It said that it was 9:03, who would be coming to our house this late? There was another knock.
“Carter! Can you get that?”
“Sure mom!”
“Thanks honey!” I pulled my headphones down so they hung around my neck and made my way downstairs, being careful when I walked past Caroline, so that I wouldn’t wake her up. When I got to the door, I looked through the window to see who it was. I saw Ryder standing there. I quickly pulled the door open and ushered him inside. This wasn’t the first time he had come to my house late at night.
